Posting an advert couldn't be easier, but PLEASE read the Guidelines & Rules If they are not followed or required information is not provided, the advert will be rejected without notice.

The NFED is browser based, so can be used with any device, computer, tablet, smart phone or tv but a fast internet connection will help with photo uploads. If you are using a mobile device, we recommend a good 4G or WiFi connection. There's no membership or accounts to worry about, simply post an advert & pay if necessary with a card, PayPal or bank transfer.

Stage 1 - Create your advert.

Click on the Submit New Advert button, then scroll down & click on the Continue>> button to go to Stage 1.

Carefully fill in the submission form, ensuring that all fields are completed. Click on ? for pop up help.

Email enquiries are turned on by default, but you can turn them off, doing so will remove the “Email Advertiser” link from the advert & show your phone number in its place.

For safety reasons, your name & phone number will be hidden by default unless Email enquiries are turned off. To show you name & phone number you must select Yes.

Select the most appropriate advert category. Although some categories are more flexible than others, adverts may be moved to a more suitable category at the administrator's discretion and without notice

Enter an advert heading. Please word the advert heading carefully to attract attention up to a maximum of 75 characters. Due to Facebook Community Standards we cannot share animal adverts on Facebook that mention buying, offered, available, wanted, selling or include the price in the title.

Writing out the main text elsewhere is the best way to plan your advert, check spelling & will give you a back-up copy if you are interrupted. Type the advert or copy & paste the advert text into the form.

If you are submitting a free ad, don't forget to include the asking price. The price is recommended on paid ads, but entirely optional.

Online video or photo album links can be included in the advert text.

* Don't use formatting, such as bold or italics, this will be ignored.
*Use emojis sparingly and NEVER replace words or prices completely with emojis. Some devices may render the emoji differently or fail to show them making your advert senseless.
* Prices should be shown in text that can be read by anyone, never in a cryptic emoji code unless you are actually trading in carrots!

Choose a unique password, then Click on the "Preview My Ad" button to continue to Stage 2.

Stage 2 - Preview advert.
Carefully check your advert, if there are any changes to be made, click on the "Go Back" button to return to Stage 1.

If you are happy with your ad, click on the "Post My Ad" button to add your advert to the database & continue to the final stage.

Note: The preview is temporary, the advert is not saved until you click the "Post My Ad" button & go to Stage 3.

Stage 3 - Photo & Payment.
The advert has now be saved in the database & given an advert number, but it cannot be seen by the public until it has been approved.

You will be sent an automated Email containing your advert number, password & further details. If you do not receive the Email, please check any spam or junk mail folders as enquiries will go to the same place.

Photos
You can upload up to four jpg, jpeg, png, bmp or gif images at this stage, or you can return & upload via the control panel at any time. 
It is far better to prepare the photos before uploading them. Cropping & reducing the size will help to avoid uploading problems. Virtually any photo editing program or app will offer these basic functions. Photos over 960 x 960 pixels will be resized automatically on upload.

To confirm images have uploaded, log in to your advert using the edit ad option or click on the advert link in your advert details Email. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to ensure required images have uploaded successfully, they do not have to be approved.

If the photos are not showing on your advert, they have not uploaded to the server. You must either log in to try again or send them via Email or WhatsApp.

Photos create far more problems than anything else! There is a dedicated Photo Help category but don't struggle, we will be happy to upload them for you! 

Free Ads
If your advert does not require payment, you have finished.

All adverts go through the same system so the payment button will show, but you can ignore this if it qualifies as a free advert. If you are unsure whether your advert qualifies, try using the payment calculator.

Paid Ads £8.99
If your advert requires the standard £8.99 payment or you wish to feature a free advert, click on the "Add Advert to Cart" button to purchase it through our shopping cart system. You can go to the payments section at any time, or follow the link included in your advert details Email.

Going Live
Over the next 24 hours, the administrator will check your advert. Providing everything is ok & any required payments have been received, the advert will be approved & go live on the site.

Modifications
You can log in at any time (before or after approval) via the control panel using your advert number & password to modify, upload a photo or delete your advert.
