Alec Miles Equestrian

Miles Equestrian is a BHS Approved competition livery yard situated in Fair Oak. The yard has a lovely atmosphere with a fantastic experienced team treating all horses with the utmost care as though they were their own horses.

Alec Miles is a BHSI Performance Coach who regularly competes in eventing on both his own and client horses. He thrives off all aspects of owning and working with horses and takes great pleasure in teaching others.

At Miles Equestrian we offer the following services:

Livery
We have large airy stables which surround the yard. All stables have rubber matting and automatic water feeders. All liveries can use the school and jumps, the walker, all year turnout and secure tack rooms. There is lorry and trailer parking. The livery includes turnout and bringing in, rug changes, mucking and skipping out, holding for farrier/vet and basic hard feed.

Schooling and Backing Livery
Alec has a passion and talent for backing and bringing on young horses. He takes the time to get to know each individual horse and work at their pace. He enjoys schooling all types of horses and working through any difficulties as well as helping the owner understand how to carry the education on after they have left us.

Competition Livery
We also offer competition livery with Alec competing your horse for you. These packages are tailor made so please contact us if your interest to discuss further.

Teaching
Alec offers lessons for all ability of riders in both flatwork and jumping. He has the ability to make both rider and horse feel at ease and really excel in your riding. These are predominantly private lessons but we do cater for joint lessons. Alec can also teach at your own premises depending on distance and availability.

Clinics
We regularly hold pole work, jumping and grid work clinics in our 60m x 30m floodlit school with a great selection of jumps. There are classes for all abilities. Alec also runs off site clinics several times a year in both jumping and cross country. Please see our clinics page on our website for more information and upcoming dates. All clinics can be booked through My Riding Life.

Loading Training
Alec has built up a very good reputation for helping with loading issues. As well as helping the horse to become confident and calm loading, he also teaches the owner on how to keep it up going forwards.
