Frequently Asked Questions |
Why do I have to pay for my rider/sharer advert? All Horse/Pony for Share, Loan or Riding – Offered or Wanted adverts are treated as standard paid listings. In reality, it’s impossible to reliably separate “rider wanted” from “part loan/share” or “loan with view to buy”, so to keep things simple and fair, they all follow the same paid advert rules. The only exception is a paid rider position, which counts as employment offered. If your advert is placed in the Employment Offered category and clearly states that the rider will be paid, it will be approved without payment, subject to the usual terms. You can still choose to pay and feature the advert if you’d like extra visibility. Why we charge for adverts 💻 We work hard to provide an efficient, popular and reliable service, which takes a great deal of time, effort and expense. We pay for internet services, and these costs remain the same whether an advert is paid for or not. Unlike many other sites, we do not use intrusive third‑party advertising, trade user data or charge commission on sales. Advert and directory payments are the only contributions we receive towards running costs and are essential to keep the NFED going as a viable small business. We keep charges as low as possible: £8.99 for 180 days works out at less than 5p per day. Your support keeps NFED online 🌟 If you’re not happy to pay to support the NFED and help us provide this unique service, you’re still welcome to browse the Loans Wanted adverts. Or you might prefer to see the advert price as a small one‑off contribution that helps us stay online. Without your support, the NFED may not be here the next time you need it.
