🐴 **Meet Rolo: The Boss Pony with a Spirited Side** 🐴
If you’re looking for a robot this pony is not for you.
We are looking for a special home for our beloved 16-year-young, 13.2hh gelding pony, Rolo. He's truly a great horse, but like any superstar, he has his moments! Rolo can be a bit of a handful when he fancies it with plenty of character to keep you laughing he’s by no means nasty, on the whole he’s a wicked pony.
Rolo is an effectionate pony that will happily be groomed, easy to rug doesn’t kick or bite, hacks alone and in company but sometimes gets a bit excited, but he's a fantastic partner for the right rider. We've made countless memories with him over the past 3 years, from hacking, bare backing, cross country, showjumping, championships of Great Britain, the winter league finals at David Broome and clinics; he’s done loads!
He loads and travels well, jumps but needs a partner not a passenger. Ideally he needs a small adult or teenager or a ballsy pre teen to help him reach his full potential. Competed up to 80cm jumped around 1m at home. The pony has serious scope.
Please note: On days out (comps & sometimes clinics) he needs someone that’s willing to take the heat as he gets a bit spicy (mainly jogging). He’s not nasty but he does get revved up - mainly at competitions. Nothing a good jockey will even be phased by.
The right home is of the upmost importance to us as he means a lot to our family; he holds a special place in our hearts.
If you are willing to get your leg on and get behind him or a kid that will; this pony is insane and a great competitor always coming home with ribbons.
Please bear in mind although my daughter was an 8 year old novice when she got him and she’s learnt everything with him I think he’d do better with a more experienced so he doesn’t have to start again.
There is a reason why we’ve kept this pony for 3 years he is awesome but he is not a unicorn, he needs riding🦄 (he’s half welshie!) he is the funniest, exciting and most loving dude, my daughter has learnt loads with him and will give just about anything a go with him; he is my daughters best friend and she’s going to be heart broken to see him go, we all are; but it’s time for her to move forward and it’s time for Rolo to find his new jockey.
