Description

Two assisted grazing spaces have become available at our small yard in Upper Swanmore.
We are a unique set up whereby we collaborate together to keep our older or resting horses and ponies. Running a simple but flexible rota-like system allows for our horses to be turned out 24/7 with support twice a day, while us owners have peace of mind knowing we don t have to attend daily if it s not feasible (we do expect to see you at least 3 times a week though it works best when everyone chips in!).
If your horse is still ridden you ll enjoy the loveliest local hacking with a number of off road rides as long or short as you like. It s quiet enough too for non-ridden horses to be taken out in hand, maintaining their stimulation and keeping that bond going with you.
The yard is run on a membership basis by a local not for profit organisation that offers owners some extra unique benefits including access to our regular social events held at our very own little country club! Family and friends are welcome too :)
Onsite we also have a summer house for coffee and catching up. There is a locked shed for feed and tack should you wish to use it. Hay is bought in bulk and apportioned at cost. We have our own dedicated farrier should you wish to access his services and can also recommend our long standing vets. Together (and with a little extra volunteer help) we endeavour to cover what you may consider traditional paid for services such as rug changes, feeds, poo picking, so there is a simple flat rate of 250 per month per horse with no hidden extras (unless you need more support in which case we can discuss something more bespoke to see if we can accommodate your needs).
As with just about everywhere we ve experienced a lot of rain and mud this past few months and so the two spaces will become available during the second half of April allowing us time to have a good clean up, harrow and roll the fields etc. You are more than welcome to visit us earlier and have a chat over a cuppa to see if you and your hairy best friend would like to join us :)
