Hazel - 15.2/3, 5 year old Irish draft mare, full breeding recorded on a green book.
Hazel is a superb example of her breed. She has excellent conformation, lovely paces with a ground covering trot and a comfortable canter. A smart performance type of draft but with an excellent brain.
Before coming to the UK she has done half a seasons hunting, competed at training shows and hunter trials. Been to arena hires and XC schooled.
She hacks alone or in company, is good in open spaces. Working in all 3 paces in the arena with a lovely soft mouth and is nice off the aids. Not a kick along but not sharp off the leg, a nice in between.
Superb to jump, bold, brave and effortless. Popped round our XC fences and made everything feel tiny. Popping a course of SJ’s with excellent rideability. Good to take out and about, doesn’t hot up in new places she just gets on with her job.
World is your oyster with this one. Suitable for an amateur rider as a classy riding club type or has the ability to progress in any chosen discipline be that dressage/SJ/eventing. She is a cracker!
Easy to have around the yard, polite on the ground.

Good to catch/load/travel/bath.

Does have an old wire scar on a hind leg so sadly wouldn’t show to top level but it doesn’t bother her it’s just there!
