Hi, we have Banjo, our 13.1hh, 17-year-old New Forest pony, for sale. We’ve had him for over 3 years, but sadly he needs to find a new small jockey as my daughter has moved on to a bigger pony and my son is happy on his current one.

He’s a really fun, forward pony who has never bucked, reared or done anything nasty. He can be a bit nappy when going away from other horses, so I’d say he needs a confident child, although he doesn’t mind being on the lead rein for a younger sibling.

He’s done junior camp this year and was voted the group’s favourite pony to ride by the other girls, which says a lot about his lovely character! He would give a confident child the best time. He absolutely loves hacking out on the Plain and keeps up really well with my big horses. I also think he would absolutely love pony racing!

He’s also really fun to jump, although my daughter isn’t the bravest, so we haven’t done nearly as much as he’s capable of. He’s been out on hound exercise a couple of times too, but again, because she isn’t very brave, we haven’t hunted him.

He has never had a day lame and has never needed to see the vet during the time we’ve owned him.

He’s been a much-loved part of our family and we’re really keen to find him the right little person and home. 😊
