16.1hh | 8-year-old Gelding | TB (ROR Eligible)

Tyson is a lovely 16.1hh, 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, eligible for ROR. He retired from racing sound and healthy, simply proving too slow for the track.

Since coming off the track, Tyson has been professionally re-schooled and has continued his education with us. During his time here, he has taken part in hunting, low-level show jumping, cross-country schooling, BD Team Quest, showing and adult camp—thoroughly enjoying every activity.

He competed in the ROR dressage regionals in 2024 and qualified for the nationals.

He consistently proves himself to be a true gentleman in all situations.

Tyson hacks confidently both alone and in company. He is sensible in open spaces and groups, always ridden in a snaffle.

He is easy to manage and a pleasure to have around—good to catch, clip, shoe, and load (both trailer and lorry). He is happy to live in or out and will happily be in the field on his own.

This lovely boy is now looking for his next partner to enjoy more adventures and fun times together. A very sad sale due to a new baby—no fault of his own. He has had a quieter last 12 months due to this, but has been in work throughout.

Tyson is kept in three legged cross not far from Dorset/ Hampshire border.
