I'm not really sure what to do, so listing him on here.
We did a sympathy buy a few years ago and bought Joey.
He was bought as a ride & drive pony, with the hope we drive him.
However, kids and a busy life later we have not!
I'm to heavy to ride him and my partner does not have the knowledge or time to drive him. So Joey hasn't done anything other than being a field ornament and lunged sometimes.
He is perfect having his feet trimmed (Andy Marsh), and will stand perfectly while having his teeth done by the equine dentist. He will stand for hours being brushed.
Joey is easy to catch and is fine with fly sprays etc.
He lived with a mare previous to us, and now he lives alone but enjoys grooming the 2 geldings over the fence next door. Joey is 16 years old, easy to do in pretty much every way.
We are looking for a home that will do more with him. I have a pictures on my phone being driven in heavy traffic through London. I have not personally seen him being ridden or driving.
He loaded and unloaded perfectly when we got him.
He lunges well most of the time, sometimes the first 5 mins he can be a bit silly. I really do believe he will not take much to bring back into work but would make a fab pony again.
He lives out with a field shelter (not that he uses it much), wasn't rugged this winter at all but last winter he had a light weight on for a week or so.
He's probably a bit chunky, he gets hay through the winter and 1 small feed daily.
Up to date on feet, teeth and worming.
A good home is essential, for somebody to love him like their own.
LWVTB would also be considered, but home is far more important than the price.
He doesn't have a saddle, but has rugs should he need them.
