Very smart, beautiful 14.1hh NF mare. Available for full loan or LWVTB, to stay within half an hour of us. Born April 2019 on the forest, we had her professionally backed and have been bringing her on slowly since. She is an amazing mare (not mareish at all), with a lot of talent. You will need to visit her a few times to make sure the match is right as this girl means a lot to us.
My daughter has been riding her for the last 4 years since she was backed, bringing her on from a very nervous young pony, to a confident mare who has been to many PC rallies, jumping lessons (very comfortable up to 80/90), lots of SJ and arena XC, pole work, a bit of dressage. Miles of hacking, alone and with company, and fun rides where she hasn't put a foot wrong. She is a confident character who isn't fazed by other animals, dogs, sheep, cows, farm machinery, vehicles on roads, new places, and isn't silly or strong on open fields. Bold to hack, happy infront or behind. Rarely spooky, and if she is ever unsure she does nothing nasty, just takes some encouragement to move forward.
She can be in a field on her own, happy when she can see others but not vital. Happy to be stabled or out all the time. She is easy to handle on the ground. Not strong or silly and has good ground manners. Has been sedated for dentist but not necessarily a necessity. Up to date with vaccinations, wormer, farrier, dentist, and had new saddle fitted a month ago. Good with farrier (shod on all 4), good with vet, clipping, will stand for hours being brushed.
She would suit an experienced home with an experienced teen or small adult rider who wants to have lots of fun. She is fit and ready to go.
Looking for a home for Isla as feel she now needs to have a rider with more confidence and experience to bring her on to her full potential. Someone who has regular access to facilities, to be schooled and jumped despite the British weather! Something which we lack here which affects the amount of riding we can give to her. My daughter was 7 when we got Isla off the forest and has done amazingly with her to bring her on to where she is at now. Isla is low maintenance, on grass and hay. She is best suited to a kind competent handler who will give her boundaries as she is still young.
Offered with full wardrobe including saddle, bridle and rugs. Happy to discuss long-term loan or loan WVTB. The priority is she finds a permanent and loving home. All homes will be vetted.
