We’re looking for a loving and experienced long-term loan home for our gorgeous gelding, Sampson — he is an 8-year-old bred by our late mum. This is a hard decision for us, and we’re only considering it because we want to give him the best possible future with someone who will bring out the best in him.
Sampson is a Hanoverian x Thoroughbred crossed with Holsteiner. He was professionally backed at four years old and has done a bit of everything since, he’s recently been brought back into work for around the last 2 months after being out of consistent work for nearly two years, this being due to our own lack of facilities, experience and time not due to fault of his own. While he has a gorgeous and loving temperament — he is a big character and needs someone confident, calm, and experienced both on the ground and in the saddle. He is not suitable for a novice.
He would be a fantastic project for someone experienced looking to further his potential.
Because of the circumstances we are not looking to sell. This would be a full loan with no intention of having him back — but only to the right person, we would love to stay in touch and see how he’s getting on.
We know Sampson has the potential to be an incredible partner for the right person, and we’re looking for someone who will love him as much as we do.
