Fantastic, flashy quality mare with the conformation, temperament and looks! But also the sweetest and loving little pony🥹

Having spent her life as a broodmare, her son is now being used for covering next season so I bought Penny in November to give a change of career. Given her quality and capabilities she could literally turn her hoof to any way of life whether that be showing, workers, pony club or dressage!

On the flat Penny has 3 correct, straight paces with a natural head carriage and has began learning the basics of lateral work. A pretty straight forward with plenty still to learn but taking it all in her stride. I took her to her first ever show when she was just 2.5 weeks under saddle where she took inhand champion, ridden champion and overall supreme not stepping a foot wrong all day.

Over a fence Penny is proving willing and brave, definitely something she loves! She has jumped barrels, tarpaulin, water trays and skinnies. She’s showing a good technique and scope for the workers. I am not the bravest when jumping and she even gives me the confidence and abit of the jumping bug back🥰

Where hacking is concerned, Penny is fantastic. She has predominantly hacked alone as I’m very much a Lone Ranger in that department (my music blaring and karaoke in full swing is abit embarrassing in company - although Penny has no complaints🙈😂). She loves it! She has hacked roads with VERY heavy traffic, seeing artic lorry’s , buses, cyclists, tractors, trailers, tankers, inconsiderate drivers, so on and been through traffic lights. And she’s been through woods seeing cows, goats, donkeys, sheep, dogs, giant inflatable gingerbread men costumes hiding in bushes (bizzare I know but that’s what you can expect when you hack through the middle of a Christmas Day park run🤦🏻‍♀️). She’s been over bridges, done gates both mounted and dismounted. Penny has also been on a group hack with me riding whilst I led a Shetland, along with other ponies and donkeys joining us too! Taking the lead or following the pack. I never call a pony ‘bombproof’ but she’s as close to it as possible in this sense.

On the ground Penny is easy to handle, loves a groom, kisses and a carrot! She is ginger after all. She is easy to clip, load, travel, vaccinate etc. Will turn out alone or mixed herd. She likes to play with anything she can get hold of be it a rug, scarf, coat or plastic bag left too close to her, typical Welsh puppy🙈😂 she does like to get to know people, can be a little tense and fidgety but she warms up to you quickly and will then offer you the world! Watch the video and you can see the stupid stuff I get up to with her.. I’m annoying and she tolerates me to the fullest🤣

Given the fact she is obviously still green in areas and learning, she is not ready for a complete novice / unbalanced / nervous riders. Would be well suited to a teen or small adult either for serious consideration for the 133 workers or just to have fun with.

No lumps, bumps, scars or health issues. And she is up to date with Physio, dentist, farrier and vaccinations. Very easy maintenance pony.
