Apollo is a 5 year old 16 hh ID x cob who is available for full loan to stay at his current yard near Collingbourne, Wiltshire. He can potentially move after 6 months.

He has been professionally rebacked and is an amazing horse with a lot of talent. Preference will be given to someone who wants to show and fun ride/hunt. He would not suit a dressage home despite having lovely paces.

He has started learning to jump and is proving talented. Apollo will need to do lots of straight line hacking before he spends too much time in a school as he is a big horse, still growing and has been brought on very slowly.

Apollo hacks alone or in company but needs a confident rider to help him put mileage on out solo hacking.

He is a bold horse to hack. Likes to lead and is rarely spooky. He does need someone to hold his hoof though as he can be an internal worrier.

He is being put up for loan as I sadly don’t have the confidence to deal with the greenness due to an accident on a previous horse.

He will not be loaned to anyone who is nervous, novice or cannot provide references.

I am happy to pay for some of his continuing costs as we have worked hard to get his feet/feed/Maintenance right.

He really needs to have someone who will help him build his confidence and I’m sadly not that person currently.

Is best suited to a kind, competent handler who will make sure he has boundaries as he is still a baby. He won’t go to someone who is ‘old school’ and doesn’t listen to their horse.

- No novices/nervous riders or people coming back into riding or out of a riding school
- He cannot move yards until you have got to know him well and then cannot be more than 30 minutes from Andover
- He is not for sale, however a LWVTB price will be agreed and written into the contract so that the loaner does not feel I’m loaning him out for free training!
