His dam had a successful career, initially produced by Lucinda Fredricks at novice level eventing before being taken on by an amateur rider, she has been in the same home ever since, Diego is her first foal. The sire was the best turf horse in North America, a Royal Ascot winner and the brother of an Oaks winner; they simply don’t come better.
