Description

VERY HONEST ADVERT IN THE HOPE OF FINDING GUINNESS A NEW BEST FRIEND!

Not for a novice!

Guinness is a 15 year old 14hh well put together cob.
We have owned him from 6 months old.

Backed at 4 and regularly ridden until 4 years ago.
He has done showing in hand and ridden, jumping, Xcountry, pony club etc.
He's no world beater but gives everything a go and will try his best for you.

Has been ridden by novices including my mother and boyfriend and children.
Excellent in traffic, to travel etc.
Lives in or out, never had shoes, never sick or sorry, never had laminitis.

Since I started having children and we lost our older pony (who was his best friend and he had been with his whole life).
He has become miserable. I haven't spent enough time with him and he's become a bored field ornament. He's only been caught for rug changes, cream and lotion applications, farrier etc. So now he assumes I'm only catching him to do something to him and had become an ar*e to catch. However I am certain with consistent time and some love he will get over this no problem.
I have started hacking him out once or twice a month for the past 4/5 months and he's excellent in company, and I have lead my sons mini shetland from him no problems. However when on his own he has become abit nappy, again this is due to not having enough done with him and loosing confidence. He's never unsafe, but will do small bunny hops of you use a whip on him. He has an attitude but not nasty!
Always snaffle mouthed.

Along with the difficulty to catch, he has become difficult to put sun cream, fly spray on, hose/ wash and clip. Again I am.confodent with time and 1 on 1 attention he will go back to how he was.

He has just had his teeth done, vaccinations and clipped out and treated for feather mites.

We are in no rush to see him go but equally it's the best thing for him as I just don't have the time to put into him and it's not fair on him. He would thrive off of routine.
Needs to have company, doesn't like being in the field on his own.

I have 1000s of photos of him. He is an excellent mover when he wants to be.

Please message me with any queries or questions or if you think he might be a good fit for your family.
Bargain to be had for someone with the time for him

Can come with full wardrobe and some tack.
Home is the most important thing and he won't go to anyone. Open to vettings.
LWVTB or £2500 price negotiable, home is more important!
