Contract type: 2-year fixed term contract, with possibility of extension
Hours: Part time, 11.25 hours/3 half days per week, initially from the Broadlands office
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Contract commencement: July/August 2025
Working with the Centre Manager, the role is to support our disabled participants in accessing 16-18+ vocational qualifications and ultimately employment in their chosen careers.
The successful applicant will: •Be capable of working under their own initiative •Have strong IT, organizational and administrative skills •Have an engaging personality, quickly building relationships with both education providers and students •Have a valid driving license and use their own vehicle (mileage re-imbursed) to undertake employment and school/college visits •Promote local education and training provision, and the opportunities they afford our participants •Support learners to recognise the importance of developing their employability skills providing them opportunities to do this, and •Create an environment that is supportive and accessible for all.
The role will entail: •School liaison and building relationships with senior school leaders and their work experience and SEND teams. This to include those primary schools that link with Broadlands, and mainstream and Special secondary schools in East/Central Hampshire •Designing and promoting 5- and 10-day work experience programmes for Year 10 students •Provision of an Introduction to Equine course (2 day) for 16-18 students thinking about pursuing equine vocational courses post-16 •Facilitating and encouraging our young participants to gain places on L1 and L2 equine and land management courses at Sparsholt and Merrist Wood colleges through: oCollege liaison and regular contact oSupport and confidence building for our young participants oIn-course visits •Assistance with assignments and opportunities for work experience at Broadlands •Identification of additional courses for the students to take which will boost their skills and employability •Assisting the students identify work opportunities, and helping them with work-readiness skills, in the application process, and in preparation for interviews. •Supporting the students into employment and their chosen career pathways.
