Unfortunately our very cute, cheeky, cuddly 19 year old mini Shetland gelding has become available for a long term companion loan due to his current loaner no longer requiring him and us not having land to accommodate him. Due to these circumstances a lovely home is required ASAP. Although he is only available as a companion, in his very younger years he was ridden and handled by my then 9 year old daughter ( who is now 27), so would be fine with young children petting and having the occasional sit on him under adult supervision.
He has suffered with laminitis in the past, so requires like minded friend or experienced person managing his grazing requirements. He will wear a muzzle but obviously couldn’t 24/7. He is fine being stabled and happy to be left alone whilst in the stable but runs around a bit if left alone in the field, although would be fine if another was in the field next to him. He is a typical Shetland, so does need good fencing, although he is very respectful of electric tape.He is a fun, cheeky little chap with lots of character. My Daughter showed him in hand very successfully as a youngster.
She is very happy to cover vet fees and expenses for the right home providing she is able to pay the very occasional visit, as he is very special to her. Only serious enquires please.
