Description

Cassy is a stunning registered AES. She is beautifully marked and really stands out. I have owned Cassy for 2 years and have to accept that my quiet, private home with my other horse and shetland is not the right setting for her.
Last year circumstances changed and I now have very little time to devote to her as well as my other horse.
She came from a busy, large equestrian yard. She was stabled in a large barn with other horses and I understand why she would prefer this as there were always horses nearby. She thrives on being busy with lots of other horses around to ensure she doesn't become too attached.

Good points:
She is stunningly beautiful. Although she can be anxious she is a genuine mare.
Cassy has hacked out in company on the forest and lanes and has been very well behaved. I have hacked her out alone with a friend on foot.
She is excellent in traffic. She has seen everything the forest has to offer and whilst she will have a look she has coped with everything, pigs, cows, donkeys, ponies, even crab flies.
She needs a rider who is confident, kind, experienced and who is used to mares.
Cassy's flatwork is lovely; she has competed up to Elementary, she enjoys her work.
She has wonderful paces.
She has evented previously to at least BE 90 , I believe. She has massive scope. Jumping is not my thing but I have popped a few small jumps in the school and she enjoys it and is very sensible.
She loves pole work; anything that makes her think.
I have hacked her to two residential horse camps at a busy local yard and she loved it.
She is a powerful, impressive horse and I think she would possibly make a great hunt horse.
She is very good with the farrier.
Initially she was out all day and stabled at night. She prefers to live out as long as she has company and a good rug!

Not such good points:
Cassy has become nappy and this has affected quite a few things. She becomes attached to other horses.
She can be strong to handle on the ground at times but fine once tacked up.
In December she was treated for ulcers (not scoped). Her lifestyle and management here would not suggest ulcers however the vets and I thought she may have them as she started presenting with symptoms. She had a course of injections which has had a very positive impact.
She passed a 5 stage vetting when I bought her but noted she had been successfully treated some years previously for a few sarcoids between her back legs. They have not returned and cause absolutely no issues.
Cassy came here in a lorry and I was told she would load (in a lorry) if initially hesitant. I tried her with my trailer soon after she arrived and also in a lorry but couldn't load her. I think this is due to her nappy behaviour and she may load with other horses.

Other things to note:
She has recently started back in to work after the injections and suggested time off so hasn't done much over the winter. She has bucked a little when lunging which is not like her so she could be a bit weak behind after time off.
I haven't clipped her because I haven't needed to, her winter coat is quite fine. She had been clipped when I bought her.

This is a very difficult decision but I believe it's in her best interests as she needs far more than I can offer.

Due to the issues detailed above I am asking £6500 for her to include her custom made Louisa Cuomo dressage saddle (cost over £2000). The right home is imperative for this horse hence the lengthy , honest advert. Videos available if genuinely interested.
