Part-time groom required for a small, family run show jumping yard on the edge of the New Forest in Cadnam.

This is a job-share role with commitment required for a minimum of 3 days per week (to include 1 weekend day) and additional flexibility required to cover holidays/shows etc.

We are a small yard with 4 stables competition horses/ponies as well as some young stock.

Responsibilities include all usual yard duties – mucking out, feeding, clipping, exercising and generally keeping the yard tidy and organised.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a high-level competition groom and will need to be:
•Confident dealing with competition horses
•Work to a high standard with excellent attention to detail
•Proven experience of handling youngsters
•Able to follow instructions as well as showing initiative
•Confident lunging and hacking out
•Be meticulous about yard organisation and cleanliness

Excellent rate of pay offered for the right person with pension, holiday and other benefits.
