Very special home wanted for very special pony!

11.2 16 yr old mare, who is one of the most beautiful old fashioned welsh mountain ponies you’ll find.

We know (very almost) her full history from the day she came in from the mountains as a foal. Sadly as she was born on the mountain she doesn’t have any recorded breeding.

She has spent nearly her whole life teaching children to ride, she is wonderful and very easy both in the school and out hacking. She has been ridden by children across the mountains in wide open spaces, on fun rides and at rallies. She is good in traffic and also works nicely in the school. She goes in an outline for a more capable rider, is great to lunge and on the lead rein and also loves to jump small fences, we'll probably quite big to her as she only has small legs! She has also been ridden bitless and bareback and is a very trustworthy little soul.

Unfortunately there is one link in her past we are unsure of. In this home we believe she was twitched in rather rough fashion to be covered by a stallion. She was not and is not in foal, however, this treatment has made her slightly wary on her nose being touched too quickly by adults. This is beating heartbreaking as she is one very special little soul. Once she trusts you, she is absolutely fine, but we want to find her a home that understand this and can guarantee that she will never know rough or angry handling again.

She truly is a one in a million pony, who adores her little people and will repay you a million times over for the love that her hoomans give her.

She has been used by us on a busy livery yard over the summer for children to gain confidence and has become a real yard favourite but sadly her riders are growing too big and too confident too fast. We love her dearly and we will be very selective in finding her the right home.


Please, do not scroll past her as she has a little bridle hang up, she has proven her leaf to be such an incredibly special little pony to ride, she has so so much to offer to a keen little person. Whilst ponies shouldn't be Christmas presents, she would be rather tricky to wrap up, but wonderful to find under your tree or at the bottom of your bed this Christmas!

She is priced to find the right home for her, and we are happy to discuss should you be able to offer her the life of love and care she so deserves.

Pepper is an old fashioned quality Connemara 14.2 16yr old mare with super breeding.

She has bred some super foals both Connemara and part bred. Yearling filly from her can be seen and is retained. She has also bred some successful competition ponies with super temperaments.

Previously she was broken to ride and was good to hack and was lightly schooled. However, she has not been ridden in the last couple of years so from a riding point of view would need restarting.

Very sadly for sale as we've given up breeding. She is a very easy mare to cover and to foal. An excellent good doer but has never had laminitis and is a true native breed who looks after herself.

Our puppies are being raised in our busy family home. They get lots of fuss and attention and the finest nutrition. They are handled daily so they will be socialised and ready for their new families. New families must be able to give their puppy all the time and attention required to continue the great start they are having now.

Anxious under saddle and will bolt. Absolutley must go to someone kind, gentle and understanding who will work with this beautiful boy to get the best from him. He is currently not suitable as a ridden child’s first or even second pony. He could be a project for ridden work or as a brilliant companion. He has so much to give and loves a job but mounting is a big issue for him. We’ve had X-rays and vets input and there isn’t a medical issue up behind the behaviour.
