Description

10 yr old New Forest Mare for full loan. (I will consider help with exercise prior to any loan/ or just help with exercise/ no part loans).

I have had her since a one year old, and broken her to ride and drive myself.

Not for a novice/nervous rider, as she gets her confidence from her rider. She is not a sharp speedy pony. She works well on the flat when fit and is very trainable and enjoys off road hacking. She will chuck in the odd buck when she enjoys herself.

She suffers from shallow breathing every Autumn, almost definitely linked to when the wet weather comes in, suspected mould allergy, as previously scoped clear and did not improve with your typical RAD drugs. She will become work shy if pushed during this time, therefore you need to be attentive to her needs and the signs she gives you.

She will turn her hoof to anything with a confident encouraging rider, if you are nervous she will get away with whatever she wants, i.e. stop and eat/not do anything. Great to handle on the ground, blacksmith, clip, vet etc.

She does express her dislike to some horses, by stamping her front feet, worse when hungry.

She has always loaded and travelled well for me. However she recently came back from loan this Sept due to not loading. I have since loaded and travelled her without any problems.

She has done the following
•Driven showing
•Indoor driving
•Fun rides, fun cross country jumps
•Hacking holidays
•Jumping lessons with a 12 year old
•School work with a 15 year old

Description

Full loan offered.
Willow is a 7-year-old 13.2hh New Forest pony looking for a new loaner. He is a kind, affectionate and gentle boy, who loves attention, he’s excellent with children and will happily stand to be groomed all day long! He’s never sick or sorry, good with farrier and dentist etc.
Currently he is not a novice ride, however this is purely down to his lack of experience so would suit a confident rider to further his education.
Unfortunately, due to work and family commitments I do not have the time for him, which is why I am looking for someone to give him the time and attention he deserves. He is currently kept in Warsash, but will consider him moving as long as its local.
Please text if you would like further details.

Description

Finn is a 7 year old, 16'3 Connemara cross. I have owned him since he was imported from Ireland at the age of 4.

He has a lovely personality, behaves like a (very) big Labrador, and is a total gentleman to handle.

Finn has been ridden on and off by my daughter for the last 3 years, but with her own horse to ride and a full time job, he is not getting the attention he deserves.

He has established walk, trot, canter and loves poles and popping the odd jump, but other than that is a blank canvas. I am sure that if he is ridden regularly and forms a bond with his rider he will thrive.

He is currently being totally wasted and would love a job to do. I am hoping I will find him the perfect person to pamper and ride him. If you are a confident and balanced rider, but don't have the budget to buy and keep a horse, Finn would love to meet you.

At the moment he lives out 24/7 but he is happy in or out and not at all phased if he is by himself. We have great facilities at home, with large stables, heated tack room, 60x20 school with lights, and wash bay with hot water and solarium (just as well as he is grey!).

Please get in touch if you have any questions. Thank you.

Description

Still looking for a new loan home.
Maddi is a 12 yr old small Shetland (36" tall) who is looking for a new loan home as a companion / field friend. She cannot be ridden due to back problems (they don't cause her any issues as long as not ridden) and needs a quiet loan home where she isn't asked to do much more than coming in to be groom and maybe a few short walks.
She needs to be supervised if children are around her however she has been lead, groomed and feet picked by young children although she doesn't really like toddlers so would be best in a home without toddlers around her.
She is a excellent, calm companion pony who isn't aggressive or dominant with other horses, happy to live out all year round with shelter and rugs or will come into a stable if needed as well.
Has been kept with other Shetlands, cobs, horses, large (shetlands) herds and small groups. Although I think she would be happier in a smaller group of ponies.
Maddi does have sweet itch however this is easily controlled and she will come with anything she needs to keep her itch free.
Maddi will come with turnout rugs and sweet itch rugs. She is up to date with tetanus, teeth rasping, farrier, worming etc
She must stay local to Bournemouth and cannot go in with any horse with back shoes on (too much risk if she was accidently kicked)
If you think you could offer her a long term loan home please get in contact. If I could afford to keep her I would but sadly due to change in circumstances I have had to put all my Shetlands on loan. Maddi is currently in a loan home however she isn't settled there and needs somewhere a bit quieter.
Since I would like to be able to visit her and make sure her and her loaner are happy (I won't interfere) she would need to stay within approx 10 mile of Bournemouth due to my poor health I cannot drive very far. However may consider just outside of this area to the right home.

Description

William has done all PC activities inc. PC Tet Champs and BE90s in his later teens. He is forward going particularly when jumping so needs a confident rider comfortable with speed, but is a very safe hack and easy to handle. He is sound and tough and would suit a small adult or competent child 10+ years for lots of fun. We are his current loaners and have done PC SJ, camp and XC fun rides but have sadly outgrown him. He is fully up to date with vax/teeth/shoeing/worming and comes with a comprehensive wardrobe. We are seeking a loving home who can make the most of him as he still has plenty to offer but is not a first pony.

Description

Very, very tentatively offered for short term loan - to a competition home only. Ideally for someone who wants to do winter dressage, show jump, riding club, hunter trials, lessons or even a bit of hunting

Tweedy is a full up 15.1/15.2hh, 14yo, coloured, Irish gelding. He takes the leg very well and has been ridden by 6ft+ jockeys. He is the ultimate allrounder with a great brain, the biggest personality and spends most of his life horizontal!

He has three rhythmical paces and has established basic lateral work. He is very trainable and had started to learn the beginnings of half pass and flying changes. At the limited number of dressage competitions he's attended, he has won, gained scores of 74%+ and has achieved great marks for his free walk. Received some professional training a couple of winters back with a dressage rider, where he settled into his temporary home straight away and proved to be a very quick learner

Tweedles jumps for fun, is forward going and extremely careful. XC schooling is definitely his favourite, he is more than happy jumping ditches, corners, steps, skinnies and water etc. He does have a big jump, so please be wary of this...he is not the economical jumping type and likes to do his best to leave poles up

On his limited outings he has been out to eventer trials, showing, arena XC. show jumping and a ODE. He always behaves impeccably away from home, whether being ridden by myself of a borrowed rider and he’s come back with a rosette every time. We also joined a local riding club and we have been selected for several of their team competitions. Stands on or off the lorry and is the perfect travel companion for taking out babies.

He is good to hack, ride and lead, load, travel, shoe and clip (with the exception of his ears!) but he can be a bit spooky and a little strong. Tweedy has been kept on a working farm and quarry so is used to cows, dogs, sheep, children, tractors, skip lorries and even tanks firing. I imagine he would make a fabulous hunter but due to rider injury this is not something I am capable of doing.

He has great stable manners and is generally a very easy horse to look after.
He can go several weeks without being ridden and doesn't need to be lunged, I currently work away a lot and he often goes days without being worked to no affect.

Lives mainly in or mainly out with no fuss and requires minimal feed. Never had laminitis, colic etc. or lameness issues. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth and wormed. History known from a 5yr old

Although he has been ridden by novices, I will only let him go to a competent jockey who will compete him. He is truly my best friend and this is a heartbreaking decision for me but due to lack of transport, starting a new job and my relocation means he just won’t be doing enough this winter and I don’t want his talents to go to waste

Tweeds has had a quiet year (life really!) but I imagine he would be ready to go out within a couple of weeks. This is a very talented little horse with a large fan club, serious enquiries only. References will be required and weight limit of 11/11.5 stone applies

Based in Wareham, Dorset but can move. Homes will be vetted!

Please ring for more information please

Description

For Loan Only - Vic, bay dun Shetland gelding, Shetland Society registered & passported, 10 years old and approx 34". Vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, trimmed, teeth done, etc. Excellent to do in all ways – catch, tie, lead, load, groom, feet. He has been introduced to traffic, tarpaulins, dogs, cows, sheep & harness.

Vic is an incredibly special boy who loves nothing more than to please you, he really loves people, so much so that he would like a person of his own that he can bond with. He has lived happily with geldings with us – he gets on with everyone. We think he would do best to remain with geldings in his new loan home, as he is very playful.

Vic will excel in all ways - he loves to be doing something and would very much enjoy working. He is a very solid gelding of a good size, so could be a driven pony. He would also be great for agility as he has proven very brave with a handler he trusts. Or if you just wanted a family friend to go for walks, he would also enjoy seeing the world that way. He would make an excellent showing pony, with lots of bone, good conformation & paces. Vic has just started to learn to lunge and long rein, with a view to being broken to drive in the future.

While he is easily handled by children under supervision, as he is quite a sensitive chap, we feel he would do best as a pony for an adult primarily - we also would like to find him a position for life, so do not want him returned due to being outgrown by a child or a child having lost interest. Whilst very well behaved and good to do, he has quite a big personality, so would not be suitable for the nervous or novice. He does have mild sweet itch, but this can be fully controlled by rugs and electric fencing.

Vic will be loaned out with a full contract, a home visit, and we may ask for references. Videos & further photos available.

Ideally full loan required for 17hh Irish Draught/Sports horse. Part happily considered. Giving him up reluctantly. Lives in Ashurst, New Forest. Hunts, jumps, schools. Needs work to develop these if desired as currently just being hacked out. Has the potential for many things, I just don't have the time currently.
Excellent to box, shoe, clip, rug. No issue with dogs, children or vets! No vices at all. Soft mouth and well schooled. If you're looking for a racehorse, he isn't it. Steady and honest and tries anything you point him at. Comes with everything he needs. Would currently not like him to be moved.
Currently lives in for Winter (Nov-Apr) and out for the rest of the year. For full loan, costs of bedding (winter only) feed (winter only), rent (£97.50 p/m), shoes (£66) and everything else to me met by you, I'll cover insurance and vets fees. Part loan we can discuss. Wanting someone reliable and loving who will do with him what I can't! Text me please as I can't take calls throughout the day, or email.

Description

Indy is a very affectionate horse that is not being given the attention he deserves with me so I've decided to see if I can find the right person for him to give him that, he thrives on regular work and loves being fussed over - being grey he takes quite a bit of washing at times but very good to do on the ground including clipping farrier etc but does need a very capable rider as can get a bit excitable at times, particularly in company if more than 3 horses, lovely hack though as quite forward going so keeps going forever but can be spooky eg in the wind for instance. Used to showjump and do a lot of dressage (to medium level) but some arthritis in hocks now so not been jumped for a while and not looking for a jumping home though with some herbal remedies (I find global herbs work very well) he is well capable of still doing some dressage if required, must stay at present yard (in Sherfield English) as companion to my other horse, all tack and rugs available, part loan or full loan available. Please don't contact me unless you are an experienced horse person and very capable rider who can give him the attention he deserves.

Description

Full loan offered.

Fletch is a very experienced pc pony that needs a slower pace of life. He has been very successful in all activities but has slight arthritis in his hocks so I don't want him jumping massive courses any more but he is more than happy to carry on at a lower level.

He is strong willed and will take a while to settle in which is when his behaviour is at it's worst but will then end up your best friend. He does need an experienced adult on hand as can be bargy and in your face, he needs to know who is boss. He is fabulous ridden and enjoys being out and about although will throw the odd excitable buck!

Ideally suited to a small experienced adult that wants a fun pony or a plucky child with experienced parents.

He is great fun and isn't ready to stop yet. He does suffer from sweet itch which is easily managed with appropriate rugs and a bit of itch stop cream.

I have owned Fletch since a weanling and he will not be sold. We are still in contact with the wonderful families that have loaned him previously all of which will happily provided references.

Fletch has a full and extensive wardrobe.

His current loan is due to end on the 24th Oct so he will need to move on or before this.

Description

My gorgeous 16hh, 16 year old, IDxTB called Finn. Needs a confident rider as cant be spooky on occasion and is a big lump to handle. Never bucks of rears but will jump to the side, try and run etc if something scares him. Hence confident rider needed as he thrives on reassurance. However most of the time this boy is happy go lucky and willing to do anything you ask of him. He is forward going but not strong. He is in a snaffle bit.
Loaning my boy as expecting a baby, so would love someone to still take him out and enjoy him.
Finn is good in traffic, good to load etc. Great manners. Loves affection. Will pop a jump but no avid competitors please or people who just want to jump. Due to his age and being out of practice jumping would likely cause injury.
Finn would be most suited to someone who wants to do a bit of everything, some schooling, hacking and small competitions. He moves beautifully when in work so would be great for older dressage classes or competitions. Equally he is happy to go on a relaxed hack and that has been his life for the last couple of years.
Not to be moved yards, non negotiable. He is not shod or stabled so low maintenance.
Current yard does not have an indoor school but has direct access to private forest hacking and 2 outdoor schools.
Riders must be experienced, no novices and over 16 years old with own riders insurance.

I am currently looking for a new full loan home for my 15.3hh 24 year old warmblood mare. Ellie has a beautiful nature, and does not look or feel her age. She is good to do in all ways, is a good doer, and can live out all year round with a shelter. Ellie is no longer suitable for jumping/competing etc, so is looking for a quieter life of hacking. Ellie has slight arthritis in one of her front leg coffin joints, however this does not influence her on a day-to-day basis, and is managed by daily supplements and regular exercise. Due to a change in circumstances, Ellie has had a quiet couple of months recently, but would be a lot of fun for someone who is looking for a horse to enjoy, and hack out a few times a week (although she isn’t a beginners/novice ride as she can be forward going). Ellie is currently living near Fordingbridge, so would ideally stay local to this area, however I will consider other locations. I am partly based near Brighton (Sussex), so a loan home in this area would also suit. A full wardrobe of tack/rugs will be provided.

For more information, please call Carla on 07960626241 (or email c.dance@sussex.ac.uk).

Ruby: 14.1hh, 7yrs COB Mare.

After returning from an18 month loan I’m looking for another partnership for Ruby. One where she can continue her education and build on the excellent progress she has made.

Ruby has 3 flashy and well established paces under saddle as well as a proven record in the In Hand Show ring, placing first in coloured class.
She is a forward responsive ride and not a kick along. Confident in traffic and enjoys her work. Snaffle mouthed in all disciplines, and can be ridden bitless with equal ease.
She has a scopey jump with potential to burn in this sphere. Don't let her height fool you.

Lunges and loose schools nicely. A steady but fun hack and always aims to please.
Recently returned from a loan with a 16 year old who helped develop her gently using natural horsemanship.

Ruby is best suited to a competent confident relaxed person. NOT SUITABLE FOR A NOVICE as she is a sensitive mare and senses trepidation from her handler on the ground.

She is barefoot, happy to live out 24/07 and has had no injuries or illness the past 3 years.
No joy riders. Serious enquiries only, to move yards.

Description

Saffie is an 9 yr old 13.2hh blue roan cob. She has been with us for two years and has been a fantastic pony. She is very caring and has a sweet nature.
She has competed at many unaffiliated, low level dressage competitions and is always placed. We have been jumping at around 60-70 at home with no problems. She has the scope to go higher but this is not something i am interested in. We have also been XC schooling. She has been out to low level showjumping and Hunter trails and went clear in both with no issues! She is fantastic out hacking and is bombproof on roads and in heavy traffic. She is not at all fazed by tractors, binlorrys ect. Saffie is good to clip, load, travel, farrier ect. (she is barefoot). She is a solid horse that can carry some weight. Does not get silly at competitions and will stand on the trailer all day. She is a very good doer. lives in or out. Is same to be ridden every day or once a week. Up to date with all vaccinations ect. Saffie is an absolutely wonderful pony who I have sadly, majorly out grown, but I cannot afford to keep two. It is impossible to fault this pony in anyway and wherever she goes she is adored and loved by everyone! Saffie is a very special pony who would be suited to either a confident child or small adult who wants to start low level competing/pony club or just wants a safe pony to have fun on. She would also be well suited as a happy hacker/fun ride ect. Due to her weight carrying ability she would also be great as a mother/daughter share.
Comes with full wardrobe.

Roxy (Roxanne). Roxy is a 12yrs, 14hh piebald mare. Roxy competes at 70-80 and has the scope to go high with the right rider. She has done combine training (dressage needs some work), SJ and some cross country training. She has sweet itch, but isn’t to severe. She is good to shoe, clip, school etc. Can be stubborn loading into a trailer, but is good with lorries, travels perfectly once in there.. She can hack but finds it incredibly stressful and can buck, but if you take it slow and ease her into it she would be fine.
We are looking for a young rider to have fun and compete on her
I would appreciate if she stayed near home
