Description
I’m looking for one like-minded horse owner who would like to share a field or small yard on a genuinely equal basis. This isn’t a livery arrangement and I’m not looking for services. What I’d really like is a calm, practical partnership where:We take turns with poo picking and daily checks (ideally every other day).We make decisions together about hay, field management, worming, etc.Costs are shared fairly. Both horses have companionship and consistency.I’ve learned over time what works and what makes life harder. The aim is an easier, balanced setup that benefits both horses and both owners — not one person carrying the load.Ideally you’ll be:Reliable and straightforward.Sensible and logical about horse care.Happy to communicate and share responsibility properly.Looking for a simple, drama-free arrangement. If you’re hoping for help running your yard or offering livery services, this probably isn’t the right fit.But if you’re in a similar position and just want a fair, shared setup that makes life easier for everyone — I’d love to hear from you.Easy journey area from Wimborne - Corfe Mullen, Colehill, Holt, Horton
We seem to be seeking the impossible. We suddenly lost our dear old pony in January and are now in the hunt for another pony to come join our family for our 4 year old daughter to love and adore.we are looking for a lead rein/First ridden pony.Height - 11.2-13.2 ( would conder other heights)Age - any age considered but ideally younger than 20, we have been through a lot of heartache with our old boy so would like to have something younger to have along time with.we ideally would love a ride and drive pony as when outgrown we would keep the pony and drive him/her so we can keep them going and they came stay with us forever. not a deal breaker though if not driven.we live on a private estate with 10acres of grazing. we have access to a stable but ideally the pony would live out 24/7 with a field shelter. They must be able to live alone.we would like a pony that will stand to be pamper all day and our daughter can lead around happily. we just want a pony we can love and have some fun with.Budget under £1600.

Very sadly looking for a long term loan home for my lovely Leo. He has been a fantastic companion for the last 3 years however due to the loss of a horse he is now out of a job and feeling lonely. Leo is a 14 year old British Spotted gelding. He has the best character! He will follow you around like a puppy. He has even gone as far as letting himself in the house! Always wants to be involved in whatever your doing and would stand all day to be fussed and loved. He adores human company and would love a home where he will be doted on. He isn’t broken and never been sat on so will not be going to a ridden home. He happily lives in or out with mares or geldings of various sizes. He’s used to adapting to whatever routine the others were on. He respects electric fencing (that’s turned on!). Leo has never had laminitis that I’m aware of however he is a small pony and as such his grazing will need to be managed accordingly. He certainly doesn’t generate a large feed bill!Leo is good as gold to catch, lead, tie, groom, for the farrier etc. Doesn’t bite or kick, just a cheeky chappy that wants to be in your pocket. I’m sure he would turn his hoof to some in-hand showing! Based in Ower, RomseyViewing welcomeHomes will be vetted
A very well bred true to type 9 year old, 14.2hh Connemara mare. KT is a safe, affectionate mare and a pleasure for all the family to handle. Exceptionally easy to handle on the ground. Turns out with mares or geldings, living in or out. Used mostly as a mother/daughter hunting and hacking horse. She is a safe ride (lady in 60s with double hip replacement regularly rides her) excellent brakes in all situations, so safe she can even be ridden in a halter. She is a great hack, often takes the lead in company. Will hack alone just a little green and takes reassurance from her rider. Seen all traffic (cars, vans, tractors, bin lorries, etc.) with no issues.Up to date with farrier, vaccinations, dentist, deworming. Negative for Hoof Wall Disease. Passed a 5-stage vetting in September 2025.Excellent breeding and conformation. 3 x 80 scores for conformation, breed standard, and movement. Pedigree includes: Calowfeenish Mairtin and Abbeyleix Owen. Sire: Park Ronan. Dam: By the famous Templebready Fear Bui; herself in the dam line of Class 1 stallion Ross Joe.Will make a great asset to any all-rounder home. Would like to stay in touch. No dealers. Includes all tack and rugs.Hampshire based
He enjoys a bit of everything, be it hacking alone, in company, low level jumping, schooling, natural horsemanship and games. He is polite around other horses and people.Good to catch, handle, to shoe, clip, groom, load, travel, vet etc.He can be a bit clever, so would suit a confident capable adult rather than a beginner's horse. He lives out 24/7 - stabled for short periods rather than in over night, this has been the way both with his current owner (8 years) and previous owner. He wouldn't be suited to lengthy periods in a stable as he is used to grazing to that found in a natural Track System. He is 16 years old and in good health. Ideally weight of rider and tack to be no more than 12 stone. It is a heart breaking decision, so I would rather the prospective buyer has him on a short loan before buying him so you can get to know each other and ensure it's the right decision.Price £3,000.Videos and more pics available. Please get in touch by text, phone, WhatsApp on 07816629561and I'll reply as soon as I can.Thank you, Jacqui
My current horse is recovering from an injury and is also getting older, so he’s starting to struggle with travelling. Because of this, I’m looking for a new four-legged friend.Ideally I’m looking for a short-term loan as do not have the space over winter (would have to go when off summer fields). So an end date would need to be agreed. I’m ideally looking for a gelding (as my yard is geldings only), between 14.1hh and 16hh. I’d love something I can get out and about on, have lessons with, and continue improving—I’m very focused on correct way of going and developing with my instructors.A bit about me:I’m 27 and based on a yard in the Cadnam/Ower area. I’ve ridden a wide variety of horses and have experience bringing on young horses. I’ve competed up to BE90 and would have loved to progress further, but my current horse is asthmatic. The yard offers fantastic facilities including forest hacking, a floodlit school, and a jump field in the summer. Owners are very welcome to visit and ride.I’m open to a range of options—loans, schooling for a few weeks, or something that needs a bit of work and outings. I really miss having something to improve and to have regular lessons on. That said, I’d also be happy with something more established that’s ready to get out competing.Could also suit someone wanting a discounted sales/schooling livery if it gives me the above! I’d also be happy to help with a horse at its current yard if it’s local to me and has good facilities.Look forward to hearing from you 😊
Piebald LW cob type mare rising 11 years a big full up 13.2 handsGenuine safe school mistress who turns her hoof to anything and everything.Loves her job, brilliant to hack, safe in all traffic.Full up 13.2hh 10 year old mare.If you’re looking for a safe, sensible family pony who can turn her hooves to anything, you may have found This gorgeous girl has been an absolute ‘heart pony’ and wonderful confidence giver, as well as the best teacher a child can have, she has taken her riders from lead rein through mini teams to confidently jumping 70!She has done pony club and everything from rallies, camps and beach rides to Area Competitions. She shows promise to do more in her dressage and is very balanced and polite and educated for a cobby type, and she loves cross country, adding many rosettes to the wall! She is also steady and reliable SJ, but isn’t the fastest!!She is easy to handle, clip, shoe and load. She has lovely feathers, we usually clip them off and keep her more streamlined. She has had her teeth routinely done, with no issues. Easy with other ponies and can hack out on her own and in company. She is good in all traffic, happily hacks alone or with others through cattle and a busy farm.Prior to us she was in the same home for four years, doing her job before she was genuinely outgrown and her riders moved on to a sportier model. She loves fuss and attention, and we are hoping to find her a home with a child who can already trot and canter but maybe has lost their confidence and is looking for a very special friend to hold their hand and help them enjoy riding again. Maybe with a small parent who can hack occasionally in the week although she doesn’t mind and is no different if ridden less. This is a very difficult decision. She is wasted with our son, she is just too nice a pony and loves the attention too much to be stood in the field, and our daughter just can’t manage the time for two ponies with ever increasing school and social commitments. She can be seen with a friend who has better facilities, so she can be tried in an arena and hacking etc. Please no time wasters. We are looking to find her a loving and caring new home hopefully over the school holiday.£8500 can be discussed to an amazing home and for an easy sale as this is hard enough

Up to height registered Shetland gelding, rising 11. Lead rein, first ridden, showing, hunting and pony club - he’s done it! Conrad has been a legend throughout his life, turning his sparkly feet from everything from beginner lead rein riders, to hunting, showing, pony club and everything in between. He is an awesome little machine of a pony who adores to be loved and worked and thrives on being the centre of attention! He is a confidence giving ride and a brilliant pony to take little people from learning on the lead rein, to cantering and jumping off the lead rein and is a sensible first ridden. He has been successfully shown, doing everything from fancy dress to affiliated M&M, LR, FR and junior ridden classes at some big busy shows. He’s happy to give M&M working hunter classes a go too and also likes to have a little pop round coloured show jumps too. He’s good to hack, in open spaces and with the usual things like loading, the farrier, clipping etc. He is incredibly handsome, but let’s face it, he is still a Shetland so can sometimes need some adult handling (for example he has a repertoire of tricks to avoid being wormed!) but 99.9% of the time he really is adorable. And what pony doesn’t let its halo slip once in a while. To be fair this is never when ridden, just if he’s having a cheeky day on the ground. He's not dangerous or a problem, just silly little things like might decide to untie his rope, or open a bolt, or step away when you do his girth once in a blue moon, look at you and laugh, he's just the funniest character. He’s been handled by children his whole life and just loves to be busy! He’d make an awesome racing Shetland, he’d love the big occasion although I’m not convinced he’d be very fast, he’d have a wonderful day out looking at the crowds and I’m sure his little rider would enjoy it too. Very sad and genuine reason for sale. Virtually his whole history is known. Lots of video available to genuine homes ONCE we have spoken on the phone. This is a difficult sale so if you’re considering be he might be your next family member, please message with your name and a little more about the home you can offer him, with your phone number and I’ll give you a call back when I have phone signal 🖤£6000 inc tack and rugs
