Freddie is a gorgeous fun 14.2 Connemara gelding.
He has been with me nearly 7 years, and it is important for me to find a competent and loving Rider for him. He is a forward going with a mature head on his shoulders. He has done absolutely everything with me from competing up to 90s with me to areas to pony club champs and been to fun rides! He is such a fun and talented loving pony. I am looking for a home for him to stay at for a while whilst I travel and do a bit more living! He needs a confident rider who has a lot of knowledge - he is not an easy or ‘first’ pony. He does have the odd dance move (buck) but would never rear, take off or whip round with you! As soon as you get to know him you will absolutely love him! He’s been the best and most fun pony I’ve ever had.
He is to stay at current yard which has a huge hacking field, XC field & show jumping field + a 40x60 outdoor school with lights OR be in Salisbury so I am close to him. Open to this if you do a month / 2 month trail on him. He hasn’t been doing too much at the moment so does need a bit of TLC and some fitness training in place. TY - full up 14.2, 9 year old cob gelding.
A real leg in each corner that takes the leg well and is up to carrying weight.
TY has spent the majority of his life in a riding school and has attended beach rides, group hacks, small XC days. He happily hacks alone or in company and is good in the traffic he’s met. Used to country lanes where he’s come from but has hacked out on our busy road here and was good as gold.
Works away in the field and is good in open spaces, been around the small XC fences here no bother and pops a pole in the school. He’s no world beater just a nice low level allrounder. He is a leg on ride, more woah than go and doesn’t need riding every day.
Would suit a variety of riders from more novice with a good support network, to any level of rider that just wants to pootle around and not pick up too much speed!

Ideal type for hacking/fun rides/low level stuff/riding club clinics etc.

It breaks my heart to write this, but due to absolutely no fault of his own, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to find Drum a new home. With two children under two and returning to work, I simply don’t have the time he deserves. I’ve owned him for six years and he has been my little baby, so this is a very sad sale, but he deserves someone who can give him the consistency I can’t right now.

Drum is a genuine, sweet horse with lots of potential. He has been out of work for a few months, so he is being sold as a project from the field. When in regular work, he was ridden by loaners who took him to the beach, cross‑country and arena hires for clinics. He loves his jumping and would suit a confident rider looking for a fun, project horse to bring back into work. He hacks happily both alone and in company.

He’s good with the farrier and dentist ect, loads and travels well, and has a kind temperament. He deserves a loving home where someone can enjoy him and give him the time and attention he thrives on.

Echo is a striking 15.1hh purebred Arab mare, 16 years old (05/06/2010), with the kindest temperament and most genuine nature you could wish to find. I bought her over three years ago for my nervous mother after she had completely lost her confidence, and she has exceeded every expectation.

Since being with us, Echo has mainly been used for hacking on the New Forest. She is excellent with pigs, donkeys, horses, cattle and sheep, and is unfazed by farm machinery, builders, motorbikes, traffic and general roadwork. She is a safe, sensible and enjoyable hack both alone and in company.

Echo's greatest asset is her incredible nature with beginner riders. We do not have an arena, so beginners have always gone straight out onto the open forest. I have put countless novices on her, from small children to adults over 6ft tall, and every single one has walked, trotted and cantered on their first ride.

She genuinely looks after her rider. If someone becomes unbalanced, she waits for them to regain their position. If she feels a rider is not secure enough, she may choose not to canter, and if they lose balance in canter she will quietly return to trot.

She is a rare horse who adapts to the person riding her. With a nervous rider she is calm and confidence-giving. With a more capable rider she is forward and enjoyable. With an experienced rider she can be fun and quite whizzy, enjoying a gallop and can become enthusiastic. But this changes depending on the situation, she was invaluable nannying my young horse on his first hacks and happily maintaining a steady pace.

Echo schools nicely, works in a pleasant outline and will pop fences up to around 80cm. However, she is not being sold as a competition horse. She has some arthritis in her neck, which we knew about when we bought her. This has been successfully managed with steroid injections, and I am happy to discuss this openly with serious enquiries. As a result, she is best suited to a hacking home with occasional schooling and jumping.

She is currently fit, enjoys long rides and was happily carrying beginner riders just two weeks ago.

Hendrix is always a favourite on the yard, he is easy in all ways on the ground, he absolutely loves a fuss and is the type of horse you can wrap your arms around his neck and give him a cuddle. He will stand happily to be groomed, easy to pick his feet out and tack up. I am looking for a confident adult ideally who enjoys hacking out and light schooling/jumping. He hacks better in company, will go in front, middle or at the back but once he gets to know someone and gets confidence from his rider, he will hack alone. Once he bonds with someone, he will do anything you ask but he is not a push and go pony, he needs a firm but kind rider to get the best out of him. He is based on a lovely yard in fair oak with miles of off road hacking plus outdoor arena with jumps. Also always people to ride with. I am looking for max weight limit of 11 1/2 stone. 4 days a week including a weekend day, yard duties to be done on those days and financial contribution.
