Hampshire Spirit Horse Rescue are losing their current grazing in Hedge End due to it being sold for development. We are now looking for new grazing land to run the rescue.

We are looking for a minimum of around 5/6 + acres of grazing. Water, electric, stables a plus but not necessarily.

We have field shelters we can bring on removable skids.

We would be open to options in the 10 mile radius of Hedge End.

Wonderful Kenco. Kenco is 20 years old and 13hh Irish pony.
She is currently being rested for a tendon injury however the vet hopes she will soon be sound and re start work.
She is currently on loan having been a perfect pony for 13 year old girl for 2 years and before that she was my daughter’s pony for 2 years as a 1st pony.
Kenco has been to PC camp and loves dressage but we feel she now needs to step down and have a quieter life.
She must have a friend and is happy with mares or geldings but it is important she has company in the field. She will happily live in or out ideally with some shelter.
She comes with a full wardrobe and tack.
Ideally loan but for the right home I will consider selling her however all that matters is the right home.
She has perfect manners and only has shoes on her fronts.

15hh, new forest X tb 4 year old

Sunny is a gorgeous young horse who has been well produced in these early stages. He has balanced, active paces and a genuine love for jumping and has a natural technique but is also forgiving.
He would make for a fantastic all rounder and will be amazing fun. He loves his work and has a keen attitude and outlook on life, always wanting to please and has said “yes” to whatever has been thrown his way.
Sunny is a pleasure to have around the yard and has the most smiley, happy nature and always happy to have some attention.
His ideal partner would be a keen amateur NSEA / PC who wants to do a bit of everything.

Ideally someone able to work a 40 hour week or a 32 hour week.
It is essential that you have previous experience either working with horses or owning a horse.
Own transport is necessary as we are not on the route for any public transport.

This is our daily routine, so you know what to expect.
7.30 feed and turn out horses.
8.30 muck out approx 6/7 stables each, hay, sweep and tidy.
10.30/11.00 30 mins for coffee
11.30 catch horses in
12.15 hay, skip, feed and sweep
1.00 lunch break for one hour
2.00 catch horses in, and afternoon jobs.
3.30 skip, hay, sweep
4.45 feed
5.00 Finish

Pippa - full up 14.2, 8 year old cob mare.
Pippa is a super sweet and fun little mare that’s done a bit of everything. Takes the leg well and looks and rides more 15hh.
Showjumped to 90cm over in Ireland winning a winter 80cm league last season, she’s well established round a course of fences. Done fun rides/hunting/pony clubbed. Hacks alone and in company and isn’t phased by the machinery around the farm here.
Leg on ride until you get the jumps out! She loves her jumping, she’s keen and can be strong to jump but a real point and shoot type that makes you giggle and just want to keep having fun! Very genuine and not trying to run off with anyone just enthusiastic. Rides on the flat in a snaffle with stronger bridle for jumping/fast work which she is totally manageable in but for this reason probably wouldn’t suit a tiny or novice rider.

Whilst she would happily carry on and have fun whizzing round some courses, please don’t be put off and think she ‘needs’ to be out doing something. She’s just as happy hacking and doing some polework so she doesn’t need a job but she would do one if you wanted to! Boxed up to the gallops with us recently and worked sweetly in front and behind and enjoyed a little outing.
Pippa is an absolute pet on the ground. She is super easy to have around, lives for a fuss and a groom (and a carrot or two!) and really is a best friend type.
Good to catch/farrier/load/travel etc.
Passed 5 stage vetting before import.

Dona is a lovely, eye-catching mare who is an absolute dream to hack, whether on her own or in company. She is excellent in traffic, takes everything in her stride, and will happily walk past flapping bin bags and other distractions.

She has previously done plenty of Pony Club, clinics, hunting, and has a fantastic jump. However, she recently failed a vetting due to showing lameness on a circle, so she is being sold strictly as a hack at a heavily reduced price. She has remained very happy and sound hacking at home with me.

Dona may go on to do more in the future, but this must be seen as a bonus rather than an expectation. Sadly, we no longer have the time she deserves as her rider has moved away.

She is good to travel, catch, groom, clip, and shoe, and is easy to manage living in or out.

Bear is a lovely bay New Forest gelding with a kind, willing temperament. Although only four, he has an old head on young shoulders and has already shown how sensible and genuine he is. He’s done an intro dressage test and is jumping 60cm in the ring, and has happily popped over a few logs while out hacking. He goes in a snaffle at all times and has been ridden by a small child both at home and a show.

He hacks alone and in company, and is easy to do—good to clip, loads in a trailer and is generally lovely to have around.

Bear would make a fantastic Pony Club/all round pony or he would be equally happy in a happy hacking home.

He does have a mild locking stifle which he may well grow out of with age and as he strengthens. However, this is well managed through living out 24/7 and hasn’t stopped him from enjoying his job.

He is the most lovely pony and will only be sold to a genuine, loving home. Otherwise he will be kept as my hunting pony.
