Sox is a 14.2hh, 7 year old Registered New Forest Pony, kept near Beaulieu. He is a forward ride out hacking, progressing well in the school and a real cuddly character. I have owned Sox since he was foal and know him inside out.

I am looking for someone to give him some extra fuss, as well as exercise, 2/3 times per week due to my shift work. You will need to be reliable, trustworthy and kind. Whilst he is a chunky build. I am looking for someone no heavier than 11 stone. Sox is not a novice ride as he can throw a cheeky buck, though he is not dangerous. There are other liveries hack out, Sox prefers company. Happy for you to hack out alone but you must be a confident rider as he takes confidence from you. He is known to nap, and chuck in a buck and spin. He loves to jump but is green.

You would be welcome to take him hacking, schooling and possibly compete.

You would have to help with his care on their share days. Winter he is in over night so ideally a bring in or turn out and muck out.

Due to my shift pattern you’d have to be flexible on days.

References are required, as well as riding insurance and a BHS contract would be in place.

Financial contribution of £160 required

Must be safe in all ways and suitable for a novice rider. Needs to be bombproof in traffic. Age 6 years +.

Will be for hacking mostly, but some light school work also.

Very hard sale of our much loved mare who means the absolute world to us but now my 16yr old Daughter is in full time college she isn't getting ridden as much as she needs to be.
Dolly is a 16hh Connemara X Knabstrupper 15yrs old. We have had her 18 months and she is one of the kindest, sweetest mares who just loves people will follow you around the field, she has perfect manners, easy to handle with no vices, can sometimes pull a face but thats as far as it goes.
Great to tack up, shoe, catch, no problems with vet doesn't need sedation to do her teeth.
Dolly does have a slight flexation in one of her back legs, this doesn't effect her or cause her pain but she is a little stiffer when turning one way so because of this, she is not suitable for the show ring.
Dolly has jumped very well in the past but never with us, she can school really nicely but needs a balanced rider as due to her flexation will do a small bunny hop when first going into canter then will correct herself.
She is forward going so not suitable for a novice.
We have had lots of long enjoyable hacks over the summer. Mainly Dolly can be ridden on the buckle but she is not keen on Sheep or Cows so tends to jog sideways until she has passed them.
She will up a gear when riding out with another horse and does prefer to be out front so experienced rider is a must but saying this she never bucks rears or bolts. She can sometimes do a body jump on the spot if startled but has never shied.
Dolly can be ridden on her own but does prefers company either with another horse or someone walking out with her or riding a bike.
She is currently unfit so needs to lose a little weight she has only been ridden a handful of times these last few months so will need to be brought gently back into regular work.
She does love her work & enjoys going out but also just as happy to have a pamper.
Dolly isn't keen on boxing she prefers a trailer and can take half an hour to load but does travel like a dream so feel this can be worked on if you have the time.
Dolly is happy to live out all year but does need access to a shelter
Home is very important and she won't just go to anybody. We are in no rush to part with her.

She has been ridden in the arena and seen coloured poles which is loved but is very green with that side of her ridden career.

I’m 5ft5 for reference

Having spent her life as a broodmare, her son is now being used for covering next season so I bought Penny in November to give a change of career. Given her quality and capabilities she could literally turn her hoof to any way of life whether that be showing, workers, pony club or dressage!

On the flat Penny has 3 correct, straight paces with a natural head carriage and has began learning the basics of lateral work. A pretty straight forward with plenty still to learn but taking it all in her stride. I took her to her first ever show when she was just 2.5 weeks under saddle where she took inhand champion, ridden champion and overall supreme not stepping a foot wrong all day.

Over a fence Penny is proving willing and brave, definitely something she loves! She has jumped barrels, tarpaulin, water trays and skinnies. She’s showing a good technique and scope for the workers. I am not the bravest when jumping and she even gives me the confidence and abit of the jumping bug back🥰

Where hacking is concerned, Penny is fantastic. She has predominantly hacked alone as I’m very much a Lone Ranger in that department (my music blaring and karaoke in full swing is abit embarrassing in company - although Penny has no complaints🙈😂). She loves it! She has hacked roads with VERY heavy traffic, seeing artic lorry’s , buses, cyclists, tractors, trailers, tankers, inconsiderate drivers, so on and been through traffic lights. And she’s been through woods seeing cows, goats, donkeys, sheep, dogs, giant inflatable gingerbread men costumes hiding in bushes (bizzare I know but that’s what you can expect when you hack through the middle of a Christmas Day park run🤦🏻‍♀️). She’s been over bridges, done gates both mounted and dismounted. Penny has also been on a group hack with me riding whilst I led a Shetland, along with other ponies and donkeys joining us too! Taking the lead or following the pack. I never call a pony ‘bombproof’ but she’s as close to it as possible in this sense.

On the ground Penny is easy to handle, loves a groom, kisses and a carrot! She is ginger after all. She is easy to clip, load, travel, vaccinate etc. Will turn out alone or mixed herd. She likes to play with anything she can get hold of be it a rug, scarf, coat or plastic bag left too close to her, typical Welsh puppy🙈😂 she does like to get to know people, can be a little tense and fidgety but she warms up to you quickly and will then offer you the world! Watch the video and you can see the stupid stuff I get up to with her.. I’m annoying and she tolerates me to the fullest🤣

Given the fact she is obviously still green in areas and learning, she is not ready for a complete novice / unbalanced / nervous riders. Would be well suited to a teen or small adult either for serious consideration for the 133 workers or just to have fun with.

No lumps, bumps, scars or health issues. And she is up to date with Physio, dentist, farrier and vaccinations. Very easy maintenance pony.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced groom to help out on our private yard, caring for 6 horses.
A valued member of our team has had to step away due to unforeseen circumstances, so this position is temporary but open-ended.

Daily duties include:
* Turnout and bringing in
* Mucking out
* Feeding and general horse care
* General yard duties and keeping the yard tidy
* Very minimal riding – some quiet hacking on a couple of horses if needed (not essential)
A HGV licence would be a lovely bonus, but is absolutely not required.

Hours:
* 8:00am start
* Break from 11:00am – 1:00pm
* Finish at 4:30pm
* Wednesday to Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off

You will usually be working alongside myself or another member of staff, although there may occasionally be days where you are required to work alone. I am currently recovering from an injury, so extra support is needed initially, however this will improve over the next few weeks.

Autumn - approx 15.2, rising 5 year old ISH mare. Out of an ISH Mare by Lassban Master Imp.
Autumn is a super sweet and kind mare who has a lot to offer. Lovely little mover, dainty type with smooth paces and a comfortable canter.
Backed and ridden away last spring and did a little bit of everything over the summer. Competed showing (and won!), unaffiliated dressage, plenty of arena hires, lightly XC schooled, been on a beach ride. Since then she’s done plenty of hacking (hacks alone and in company) and light schooling and had a short winter break over Xmas. Loves her jumping and has a good pop on her, not been over jumped and ragged about, she’s confident in her work and enjoying it.

For sale our tiger Trigger 7yrs old, 13.2/3 Born on the forest, we bought him in September 2024 unbacked and slightly ferel as he had been turned out in a field for the best part of a year.
Our intentions were to always sell him after backing and bringing him on. We grew quite fond of him that is why we kept him a bit longer than planned.
We backed him February 2025, he has hacked, begun schooling, lunged and he has also been to a few pole work/ jumping clinics locally in a small group.
Trigger is a fun character but does have a nervous side to him he loves to be your friend but when nervous will nip and can be quite strong and silly in hand when leading although this has improved since we have owned him. He is good to be ridden but again if nervous may try and climb in a bush to hide. He likes to impersonate a star fish when unsure.
We have taken him out in our lorry with company hacking, he’s good on the roads, with sheep, and will happily stay behind or in front and can be led from another horse.
He is stabled at night at the moment and has his own field during the day. He is barefoot, had the dentist several times and is up to date with his vaccinations.
Trigger needs his education continuing with a confident, experienced adult. We don’t see him as a child’s pony yet because of his age, experience and his nervous quirks.
We are hoping to find him a home he will stay in for a long time, please don’t enquire if you are a dealer or looking to buy and sell on.
I think he could be a great pony with patience and work we will miss him.
