🌟 5★ Experienced Loan Home Wanted for Barney 🌟Barney is a stunning 16.1hh bay Irish Sports Horse, 14 years young, looking for a 5★ experienced loan home (would consider sale to right person). He is a kind, well-mannered horse with a great personality and plenty of presence. Barney is easy to handle on the ground and enjoys fuss, cuddles, and attention. He is polite to lead, clip, shoe, and manage day-to-day, although he can be quirky ie noise sensitive to sounds above him (no flapping with coats jangling keys etc). Barney has a successful eventing background, having competed and won at BE90 and placed at BE100 level. He was evented successfully after being diagnosed with AF, which does not affect his work. He has now retired from jumping/eventing due to a previous injury, from which he has fully recovered, and is now looking for a hacking and flatwork-only home.He enjoys having a job and thrives when ridden regularly.Barney hacks well both alone and in company. He is snaffle mouthed at all times.Requirements:* Experienced rider only (absolutely no novices or riders looking for a confidence giver)* Light, balanced rider preferred (current rider approx. 10st7, 5ft5)Barney is currently based at Bovington and can remain there, or can move. He turns out alone or in small herd.Videos available on request.

Stunning 3-Year-Old New Forest x Cob Mare14.3hh currently, expected to mature to over 15hhSire: Danny (EQ05825) – Piebald CobDam: Talitha – New ForestA beautiful young mare with plenty of quality, a lovely kind eye and approximately 8.5 inches of bone. Recently turned three, she has been allowed to mature naturally and is now ready for someone to continue her education. She is currently unbacked, making her an ideal blank canvas for someone looking to produce a horse their own way.She is easy to catch, lead, groom, tie up and load. She has met the farrier and, while still green and learning, behaved sensibly throughout. She simply needs more experience, which is exactly what you would expect from a youngster. She has a wonderful temperament and is a real pleasure to have around. She is kind, intelligent and inquisitive, taking everything in her stride. She is never mareish or malicious and has always been willing to learn. She moves freely with three balanced paces and has the substance, presence and attitude to make a lovely all-round horse. Whether you’re looking for a future hacking partner, riding club horse or a horse to produce for pleasure, she has all the right foundations.A genuine sale to the very best home, where she can continue to reach her full potential.£4,750 ONOBased in Wimborne, Dorset
WoottonHeath Oreo. The cuddliest, sanest, easiest pony I've had for years. Started slowly last year with natural horsemanship methods. Then when he was fully ready for novice riders, he went on loan to live in Shaftesbury to be hacked around the town and up the hills for the winter. Now back, he has done several long distance camp-out rides on Exmoor, and plenty of hacking in the NF, + schooling in the field. He has lovely balanced paces and a natural head carriage. He's happy to go in front of behind hacking - and is just starting to hack on his own. Schooling - he will slow on a "Whoah" command, nearly doing walk-canter, canter-walk is pretty good too. We don't do SJ or practice much but he'll pop a few 50cm ish fences in the field nicely (also carrying a flag or umbrella if neccessary). He has good ground work skills, plus some nice lateral work coming at a walk including, turn on forehand, turn on HQ, shoulder in, a very nice backup. Tricks: 'Kerbside; pickup: Click your fingers over his back and he'll come over to pick you up - you can get on off a digger, tractor, gate, bank, mounting block - whatever. Flag riding: walk, trot, canter with a massive flag waving. Drag riding: drag a sled or bag and he'll tow it along. He happily jumps v steadily over logs in the forest, bush bashes through bracken, crosses streams/rivers. Great to do gates. He loves to be caught! V easy to tie up, wash, trim, shoe, worm. Excellent to load and travel. V reliable in heavy traffic - he lives on a large farm with tractors/diggers/quads. It is also a pheasant shoot so they're no bother either. We also ride with the dog everywhere so that's cool too. Ride and lead is 10/10. Vet info: Fully up to date with vaccs. Given all clear in Feb for flexion and 2 stage vetting style lameness check up. Now he is a bit fat and our fields are very flat, he very occassionaly has a slightly sticking stifle - like a micro hestitation. His brother also has it and it is a mechanical issue related to unfitness. It seems to cause him no stress. When fitter it reduces/goes. As an example, he will do it circa 3 x in a 5km hack. He seems to do it worst going down a slight incline when we ride with loose reins, if we hold him together it's preventable. IMPORTANT Our area of the NF does have flu nearby. I am expecting him to just be of interest locally for that reason and therefore not in a hurry to sell him. £8k ono. I would possibly loan him to the right home for a short time. The 'right home' means an experienced, confident rider who can handle a young pony. Please do not ask to loan him if you have a nervous, or novice child and do not know about horses.I will prioritise buyers who know the basics, or want to learn NH methods because this is his normal. If he doesn't sell (quite expecting this with the stifle and the flu !) he will do Pony Club this summer, start drag hunting this winter and remain for sale to the right home.
Heartbreaking sale of my much-loved mare Iris. Finding the right home is my absolute priority.I’ve owned her since she was 2 and have carefully backed her alongside my trainer. She is a chunky, hardy type with plenty of presence - she’d make a great hunter.Together we’ve done light schooling and a lot of hacking around village lanes, both in company and with someone on foot. We’ve not yet hacked completely solo, but once she’s built trust with a confident handler/rider, I think she’d be great to hack solo as she’s happy to take the lead when out in company. She can spook at birds in the bushes, but is unfazed by traffic, tractors, sheep, cows, and general village life. She enjoys her ridden work, has always looked after me and tries her best. We’ve recently moved yards and now have access to some amazing hacking along bridleways and she’s taken it all in her stride.Due to a change in circumstances in March, I have only been able to continue with groundwork and some light hacking this year. She’s ready for someone with the time and experience to bring her back into consistent ridden work and further her education. She will be an easy project for someone to help her reach her full potential – all of the foundations are there. She is still young and can be opinionated on the ground when unsure, so is therefore not suitable for a novice and requires a confident, knowledgeable home. Whilst she’s not particularly forward going in the school, she can be sharp given her age. She can be very mareish and needs clear and consistent boundaries. She’s very curious and brave for a youngster. I’ve done a lot of desensitising with her, and have also done working equitation (in hand as it was before she was backed), and she wasn’t phased by any of the obstacles.Iris has previously lived out 24/7 quite happily. She’s now currently in during the day and out at night, and is good to do in the stable – she has no vices (other than being quite messy!). She previously had front shoes due to the bridleways at our last yard, but is currently barefoot with no issues – she has good, solid feet. Whilst I don’t have my own transport and therefore haven’t taken her out much, she does load and travel well in a 3.5T (what I have had access to). Her teeth and vaccinations are up to date.£5,000. More photos and videos available from when she was in regular work. Tack and rugs available. This is an incredibly sad sale as I have invested a huge amount of time, effort and love into Iris and have formed a great bond with her. She has huge potential but sadly needs more work and consistency than I am able to provide.

Hatchettmill Dogger Bank; PEANUT 13.2hh 6-Year-Old Fully Registered New Forest Gelding with a Green Passport£3,500Peanut is a lovely 13'2hh, 6-year-old, fully registered New Forest gelding with a green passport. He is a genuine, kind pony with a wonderful temperament and is now looking for a home where he can continue his education. He was lightly backed and ridden away last year and then was sent to a jockey for the finishing touches before being turned away for the winter. A couple of months ago he was restarted, but due to my work commitments, he has unfortunately been turned away again and is now being offered for sale from the field.Peanut is easy to handle, loves people, and has a huge personality. He is a pleasure to have around. He has run the forest as a 2 year old and has seen Cows, sheep, pigs and farm machinery He has also ran with geldings, mares and foals He loves water and is often found chilling in our river He once made friends with one of our friends cows, which sums up his friendly nature perfectly. He has lived out all year without a rug, with access to shelter, and has been stabled when required. He is good for the farrier, and is an easy doer who happily lives off fresh air, only receiving a small token feed while the others eat.Peanut had previously sustained a cut to one of his foot that has left a faint scar. This has never affected his soundness, and he made a full recovery with no ongoing issues. This is an incredibly sad sale. I have had Peanut since he was just 9 months old, and this decision has not been made lightly. He deserves someone who has the time to continue his education and give him the job he deserves. I truly believe he will make a fantastic all-round pony thanks to his intelligence, and love of people.£3,500Please get in touch for more information or to arrange a viewing. Sold from fieldCan provide videos of peanut upon request.
Finding Harley the right home is incredibly important to us. He has been part of our family since he was a yearling, so this is a heartbreaking decision. He will only be sold to the very best of homes.Harley is a genuine, kind and honest all-round pony who has helped my daughter grow from a young rider into the confident rider she is today. The only reason he is looking for a new home is because she has now moved on to a bigger horse.Harley has three lovely paces and enjoys a varied life. He hacks confidently alone and in company, schools well, has attended clinics and fun rides, and is always willing to have a go. He is a safe, forward-thinking ride with good brakes and is never silly or strong. He is not a kick-along or first-ridden pony. Harley enjoys his job and goes nicely from the leg, so he is best suited to a confident child or small adult who wants a responsive, enjoyable pony to continue progressing with. One of Harley’s biggest achievements was completing a successful year on loan at a riding school, where he proved himself to be kind, reliable and much loved by riders of varying abilities. He has impeccable manners on the ground and loves attention. He is good to catch, groom, clip, load and travel, and is up to date with vaccinations, teeth and routine healthcare.Harley has been successfully managed barefoot for several years and is trimmed regularly. He happily wears hoof boots when hacking on particularly stony ground. He is hammer shy, so he is not suitable for shoeing, but this has never affected his ridden career.Harley would suit someone looking for a genuine all-round pony to enjoy hacking, schooling, clinics and fun rides while building a lasting partnership. He is a much-loved member of our family, has never been passed from home to home, and finding the right match is far more important than a quick sale.£6,250 ONO. Serious enquiries only, please.
