A super smart, 14.3hh 6 year old piebald cob gelding.

Imported from Ireland, he has done a bit of everything including hunter trials, eventing, Pony Club camps, beach rides, showjumping, and plenty of hunting.

He is a pleasure to have on the yard. He’s great to shoe, groom, tack up, and he loves a fuss!

In the arena, he works sweetly in an outline. He was recently placed 1st at unaffiliated dressage, receiving lovely comments from the judge.

He very much enjoys his jumping. He is brave and not bothered by fillers, very genuine to a fence, and forgiving of his rider, happily helping out if needed. He is currently jumping courses around 80cm with scope to progress further or happily step down.

At home, he enjoys both schooling and hacking and is always a pleasure to ride.

He would suit a rider looking for a fun, capable all-rounder to go out and enjoy a variety of activities. We are looking for a pc/rc home rather than a nervous/novice home.

I have owned Aurora for the last 2 years and have taken my time bringing her on, we have done loads of hacking including all-over the New forest national park, happily popping logs, crossing ditches and anything asked of her.

Recently we moved to a gorgeous yard in verwood that has excellent facilities and have very recently started her arena work, Aurora has proven to be exceptionally easy with this! And after only cantering for the first time in the arena last week she has now started popping jumps, she seems to thoroughly enjoy this.

I would not describe Aurora as a spooky or difficult horse and feel she would easily suit a mother daughter share, a teen coming off ponies or anyone wanting a sweet willing mare.

Sox is a 14.2hh, 7 year old Registered New Forest Pony, kept near Beaulieu. He is a forward ride out hacking, progressing well in the school and a real cuddly character. I have owned Sox since he was foal and know him inside out.

I am looking for someone to give him some extra fuss, as well as exercise, 2/3 times per week due to my shift work. You will need to be reliable, trustworthy and kind. Whilst he is a chunky build. I am looking for someone no heavier than 11 stone. Sox is not a novice ride as he can throw a cheeky buck, though he is not dangerous - he’s been hoof perfect recently but just want rider to be confident in dealing with them should he throw in a buck. There are other liveries hack out, Sox prefers company. Happy for you to hack out alone but you must be a confident rider as he takes confidence from you. He is known to nap, and can chuck in a buck and spin but am working on his confidence in hacking out alone. The more he does it the better it’ll get. He loves to jump but is green.

You would be welcome to take him hacking, schooling and possibly compete.

You would have to help with his care on their share days. Winter he is in over night so ideally a bring in or turn out and muck out.

Due to my shift pattern you’d have to be flexible on days.

References are required, as well as riding insurance and a BHS contract would be in place.

Connie has been an absolute gem for us and has completely transformed my daughter’s riding. After losing her confidence and going from jumping 70cm back to trotting poles, Connie patiently and kindly rebuilt her, taking her from poles all the way back up to confidently jumping 70cm in a big arena within a few months. She is not a sharp or fast pony, which is exactly what makes her so special, she gives her rider time, reassurance and consistency, and will always try her best.

She is a genuine, willing jumper who loves her job and will happily pop anything put in front of her. Currently confidently jumping 70cm, with scope up to 90cm. She has competed in both affiliated and unaffiliated show jumping and arena eventing, and has taken part in Pony Club rallies, camps, dressage, competitions and Pony Club racing, which she really enjoys. She also attended the NSEA National Schools Championships at Hickstead, where she placed 8th in the 60cm. She proved her temperament there too, calmly taking my daughter round a course even after losing a stirrup in the warm up.

Connie is a true allrounder and equally happy hacking alone or in company. She has been out hunting a handful of times, stands beautifully at the meet and will jump whatever is asked of her. In very busy close company (such as hunting) she can be mare-ish with other horses, so we put a red ribbon in her tail as a sensible precaution, but she has never shown this behaviour with people and is always kind and easy to handle.

On the ground she is a pleasure to have around, with lovely manners in and out of the stable. She is good to load, clip, shoe, and with the vet, and is up to date with all vaccinations and care. She has a clean bill of health, no history of laminitis, EMS or arthritis, and is fit, well and in regular work. As a registered New Forest she is hardy, with good feet and limbs, and is a straightforward, low maintenance pony.

She is only for sale due to my daughter’s significant growth spurt and move onto a bigger horse, which is a very sad decision as she has been such a special pony for us.

Connie would be ideal for a child who can ride but has lost confidence, or someone looking for a safe, genuine pony to help them progress and enjoy their riding again. She would also suit a small adult wanting a kind, fun and capable allrounder.
