Description

Trevett and Smith 3.5t horsebox on 2008 Renault Master DCi100 with 103k miles. MOT till 31st May 2027. Excellent quality build from Trevett and Smith using Omnia panels in construction, offering solid lightweight build thus increasing payload - approx 1200kg. Great little box that I had built by Trevett and Smith in 2017. Only selling now as giving up horses. This box also comes with a removal 'pony panel' that shortens the travel compartment area for smaller ponies if needed. I have travelled shetlands to 17h + in this vehicle and all seem to travel well in it. Rear facing. Any questions feel free to ask £15,000 . ONO

Description

He’s a 16.3 Irish sport horse, who has competed up to BE Novice many years ago, he hasn’t competed in a while.

He is very talented and excels in any discipline. He is not suitable for a ‘happy hacker’ or ‘novice rider’, he needs a calm and confident rider that can support him and give him confidence.

When it comes to hacking he can’t be hacked out alone and is better in a group but, you would need to be prepared not to be able to hack him at all, until you have built up an understanding with him.

I’m looking for someone who is able to help me and his other sharer look after him, as due to personal circumstances I am going to be unable to ride for a year.

Please no Beginners or Novices and no one younger than 18.
Rider insurance required.

Looking for a contribution monthly towards him.
Based in Droxford.

If interested please message me or call my mobile.

Description

15.3hh | 7-year-old ISH mare

Maya is a lovely, talented mare who has been started slowly and correctly, with no rushing. She has established three lovely paces and, when she uses herself correctly, has beautiful movement.

She is now beginning her jumping education and is proving to be very scopey, showing great potential to become a smart low-level event horse. She would also make a lovely small working hunter.

Maya hacks both alone and in company and has been ridden by novices, although she is not currently a novice ride. With time and further education, I believe she will become an extremely straightforward and enjoyable mare.

She is currently being schooled by an experienced event rider, with her education continuing at her own pace. There is absolutely no rush to sell her, and a knowledgeable, top-quality home is paramount.

A very cool mare with plenty of potential for the right person. 🐴

Full vet history given.

Tack can be sold with her for extra.

Description

Sadie is a 15 year old mare who we have owned for the past 6 years. She has done a bit of everything – XC, showjumping, hunter trials, fun rides, beach rides etc. I am currently at university and I’m looking for either a part share or full loan for her from our yard based in Fordingbridge, fairly flexible. We have a 60x20 arena for use with jumps, forest hacking accessible via some road riding, and the opportunity to take her for outings in the future.

Sadie is extremely easy to do on the ground, a real yard favourite and not mareish. Good with the farrier, teeth, vet etc. Loads into our single trailer well using a Dooley head collar, just requires a bit of time to think about it. Happy to hack alone, and even happier in company. Good with most traffic but when hacking alone she does take confidence from her rider with larger lorries and tractors although I’ve never had any issues. For this reason, she is not suitable for a novice.

She loves group rides/fun rides/clinics, I’ve had loads of fun on her out cross country where she will put in the occasional buck when she’s excited, typical opinionated Connie, but nothing dangerous or malicious. She finds the school a bit boring so can be lazy depending on the season, with the right rider she can produce some nice flatwork but requires a bit of effort. Will perk up with a couple of poles, jumps or company. I have shared her with my mum for the past 6 years and she is the sort of mare that would suit a variety of riders - safely plods along on the buckle for a gentle hack but steps it up a level in other areas.

Own rider insurance and BHS contract required. A financial contribution to be discussed. Sorry, no under 18’s.

We have plenty of videos available on request, and happy to answer any questions. If you are looking for a forward competition horse, she is not this, but if you want a pony you can treat as your own and have some fun with please get in contact.

Please message on whatsapp, 07746761514

Wanted - Grazing for two
I’m not looking for anything fancy, a field to rent long term for a horse and pony, both respectful of fencing, humans and dogs.
Responsible, reliable and capable owners with tools and ability to maintain land and fencing.
Daily checks minimum.
While we’re not currently hacking on the forest, a short, safe ride to the forest is essential.
Bashley - Sway and surroundings considered.
Many thanks

Description

Bambi is as smart as she is pretty. She came from the Dartmoor sales as a foal and now approximately 2years old and has come so far! She was completely feral when I got her and her buddy and was the hardest to conquer. (I was going to re register her as My Everest!) She refused any contact for months, nothing nasty, she would just shoot off but as soon as she accepted the head collar she understood and has become a really smart little Pony to work with. She is bold, brave and completely driven by carrots! I had plans with her as I am 5'2 but I have since taken on another youngster and have to be firm about not taking more on. Being a feral I still don't trust walking closely behind her and she will nip! Definitely not recommended for a small child or to be left unsupervised. She stands next to my section B mare who is just under 13hh so I'd expect her to make 13.2. This is a very tough decision because I have done so much wi her and I have several other ponies so I have to decrease the herd size. However, if she doesn't find the perfect home I will keep her. She has so much potential. Sensible experienced home only. Good to handle, walks out alone or with company, still learning with grooming and legs. Hasn't seen the farrier as yet but de sensitising her is all being worked on daily. £1200

Jet Set Forest Knight (Dad of Jet Set Monarch - who ran the last 2 years on the forest)

Spanny is 13.2hh and our beloved friend - sadly outgrown. I want to keep him and drive him, but it's not the right time for us to do that yet. I want to find him a loan home for either a few years or an on-off share.

A solid little guy with a big shoulder, wonderful natural balance, super gentle and kind to handle. Many of you NF folkes will know his breeding and breeder Naomi Duell. Span is well known around Beaulieu where we ride extensively.

I started him very slowly in natural horsemanship (which I teach part-time) and he has done 2 years of extensive hacking (solo and in a group) with me, and then 2 years with my daughter (now 14).

He has done masses of long distance riding & camping on Exmoor, 5 x PC camps and numerous rallies, a few Mopley small shows & hunted with Wilton x 2 seasons. We always go in the jumping group and he has pinged around their rails country safely and consistently. We have done demonstrations in NH to Pony Club. He is regularly ridden bitless out hacking, & bridleless in the field jumping & playing about. We once did 12 miles on Exmoor with just a neck rope. He neck reins and does simple lateral work like a ninja... We also taught him loads of tricks. He'll jump around a 60cm SJ with an experienced person, or flop over very tiny fences on a lead with a novice.

FYI - Whilst he'll stand quietly at a hunt meet in the busyness, and can deal with PC camp multiple rides around him, he doesn't love shows (except Mopley!). As an ex working-stallion who was cut at 4,lots of horses moving around in different directions seems to stress him enough that he's a mild PITA and we're not competitive so didn't carry this on. He can be ridden through it but he's not the normal calm fella.

The right family/person will love their horses, enjoy hacking, have some Natural Horsemanship knowledge, live in the NF. He'll carry a small adult fine (Evie my daughter is 5'6 in the black and white pic). He is good for novices to ride and responsive - and I sometimes ride/lead with children on him.
Please note - we do not ride with tight contact on the reins and that's a no go for me. Ideally I don't want him bashed about over big fences or on hard ground. I'd rather he went to happy hacking-ville but some PC or RC is fine.

He is brilliant to load, tie, park and ride, great in traffic, leads off a bike, happy to live with other horses or on his own.

He's currently in Somerset, fully fit, shod, and coming back to the NF in mid Sept. We are not in a hurry to find him a home.

Fully vacc'd - obvs!

References and home check required.

Description

Buzz is a registered New Forest, forest bred Pony. He’s 4y old (2022) and currently standing at 14h should hopefully make 14.1h+
I backed him at the end of winter and then turned him away for 6 weeks and came back into work over spring and has been in full work since. He can walk/trot/canter. Hack out solo or in company. Has popped his first few logs on the forest proving brave with tones of potential. Has been in the ménage a handful of times and seen coloured poles. Is brilliant opening gates, in open spaces and riding/leading from other horses and in traffic also doesn’t mind pesky crab flies and been ridden by kids.
He’s easy enough for an experienced child to continue producing. He’s such a lovely character on the ground and loves a pub ride!!
Upto date with vaccinations/ farrier ( has amazing feet and is barefoot not ‘footy’ on gravel out hacking)and loads like a dream onto our trailer! Also amazing to clip.
No vices or medical history.
Price will increase with the more work I do with him

Description

This wooden coop is old but probably has a few more generations of rearing young animals left in it. 6 foot by 2½ foot it breaks down into 3 sections as shown - base, walls and roof. We have reared chicks, ducklings, kittens and puppies in it over the years although not all at once! For dogs and cats the young can be safely enclosed while the parent can get in and out with the top flap open.

We are asking for £5 which will be donated to cancer research if you would like this coop.

RDA or coaching experience is desirable but not essential.

This could be a particularly exciting opportunity for someone with strong equestrian experience who would like to develop their coaching. We can support the successful candidate through the RDA Coaching Pathway, with opportunities for training, mentoring and further personal development.

There are also plenty of opportunities to become more involved within Broadlands RDA, including additional hours, training and development across our wider programmes.

This is an incredibly rewarding role, combining horse care, session leadership, volunteer support and the opportunity to develop as an RDA Coach, while helping our participants build confidence, independence and a love of horses.
