I am looking for a loan home for my horse and would be happy for him to move to a suitable yard within the local counties. I have owned him for the last 2.5 years, having taken him straight from racing. Although he was technically a racehorse, it's fair to say he wasn't cut out for it. He only started once, where he was pulled up after being so far behind the field, and he also ran once in a point-to-point.When he first came to me, I gave him around six months off to be a horse. He lived as a companion to another horse we were rehabilitating, allowing him to gain weight, relax, and leave racing behind. Since then, he has been brought back into work gradually and has been a pleasure. I've taken things slowly with him, because I adore him and wanted to do everything slowly. The majority of his work is hacking, which he enjoys. We've hacked in all sorts of places, and he is exceptionally sensible. He is fantastic in traffic, unfazed by windy weather, wheelie bins, livestock, farm machinery and the sort of things you'd expect a horse to question. Sheep, cows, llamas – none of them bother him. The one thing to note is that he much prefers hacking alone. He can become tense when ridden in company. I have no doubt this could be improved with consistent work, but as I'm based on a small yard and generally hack solo myself, it hasn't been something I've focused on.He schools once a week and is occasionally lunged, but hacking is where he is happiest. He is always kept up to date with McTimoney treatments and physiotherapy, as I feel that's especially important for a larger horse with a racing background. In every other respect, he is wonderfully straightforward. He is easy to catch, load, clip, shoe (although he does like to leave plenty of droppings for the farrier!), have his teeth done and handle on the ground. He is excellent coming in from and going out to the field, has no stable vices and is happy in the field. He currently lives out at night, as that's the routine in our yard, but he also spent around seven weeks stabled overnight last year without any change in behaviour. I suspect he would happily live out full-time, provided he had adequate shelter, feed, and was kept warm enough. He is an easy keeper and currently lives on pony nuts and Fibre Light chaff. He is a genuine yard favourite, and whenever I've been away I'm regularly told what a "superstar" he is and what a lovely horse he is to look after. He really is kind, affectionate and loves attention. Grooming is one of his favourite things, and he'll happily stand that for hours. While he is incredibly sensible 98% of the time and is much more whoa than go, he is still a large, fairly young Thoroughbred. Like any horse, he can occasionally have a sharp moment, so I am looking for someone with Thoroughbred experience who is a confident, capable rider. He rarely spins or reacts dramatically, but I want him to be with someone who understands the breed and can ride him sympathetically.Because finding the right home is so important to me, I will only consider enquiries from experienced homes that I have thoroughly vetted, and I will retain his passport throughout the loan. Please do not get in touch if you are a novice rider or weigh over 11½ stone. For reference, I am 5ft 5in and approximately 9 stone in the photographs, although I do have long legs.I have tried to be completely honest about him because he deserves the very best home. He is a genuinely lovely horse with so much to offer, and I would much rather be upfront about every aspect of him than have anyone's expectations unmet. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask. Could also be a companion as he is so good in the field!

A very genuine and heartbreaking sale due to my own lack of confidence. Millie deserves someone who can continue bringing out her potential.Millie is approximately 13.2hh, 8 years old, beautiful coloured cob mare with a lovely presence. She has been back in work and is progressing well, but she is still green and is not suitable for a novice or anyone under 18.She can be a typical mare at times, so she needs a confident, experienced rider who understands mares and will be fair and consistent with her. She takes time to build trust in a new home, so patience and consistency are essential.Millie has attended one ridden lesson, where she behaved well, and is beginning her education. She has plenty of potential but needs an experienced home to continue her training and build her confidence. She is:Good to groom, clip, bath, travel.Up to date with vaccinations, dentist, farrier.A fun project for an experienced adult looking for a quality little cob to put their own stamp on.This is an incredibly difficult decision, so finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale. Homes will be vetted, and she will only go where I know she'll thrive. If you think Millie could be the right horse for you, please get in touch with details about yourself, your riding experience, and the kind of home you can offer. Her future means far too much to me to let her go to just anyone.Serious enquiries only. ❤️ £1500 ono

⭐ 15.3hh Connemara – Very Special, Experienced All-Rounder ⭐16-year-old Connemara looking for a very special new home due to his owner heading off to university. He really is a much-loved member of our family and has given us four wonderful years. During this time, he has also been on working livery, where he has taught adults, children and SEND riders. He is kind, patient and knows when he needs to look after his rider, but equally will step it up and show his fun side for his owner. He absolutely loves to jump, loves hacking, was hunted in previous home and is well schooled on the flat. He would be a lovely step up for a confident teenager coming off ponies. He is happy living in a herd or on his own and fits happily into different routines. He does have a melanoma under his tail, which has not changed in the four years we have owned him. Our vet is happy with it and it in no way impacts him.Currently shod on fronts. Great with farrier/vet, granny, tots! All up to date on jabs/teeth/back. This is a genuinely heartbreaking sale of a horse who means an awful lot to us. His owner is now off to university, and he deserves to find someone who will love and enjoy him as much as we have.£5500 with all waldrope apart from saddle.

15hh Connemara 7 year old grey mare. I purchased this horse for my daughter 2 years ago with all the intentions of bringing her on and producing her into a great all rounder to compete. However, due to my daughters lack of interest this has been very on and off and I have made the very heartbreaking decision to find her a home where her potential can be fulfilled. She is in work 2 or 3 days a week currently, mainly schooling and hacking. She has showjumped up to 90cm, and been xc schooling where she has jumped 90s, 100s and a few Novice fences has also competed in arena xc. She is very green as has not done an awful lot but has also been to a few arena hires and loves to jump. Her schooling needs work, when it is consistent she produces some lovely work and has been to dressage shows in Intro and Prelim scoring 66% on average. This will only improve with more consistent work. Easy to load, catch, shoe etc. Hacks alone and in company. Snafflw mouthed. Currently stabled during day and out at night. She adores her stable ! Very loving temperament. She is a forward going mare and due to her lack of experience and education she is not for Novices ! Will make someone a super little competition horse if they put the work in to produce her. If I had the time she would not be going anywhere. Serious enquiries only, very sad sale. Open to vet. £8000
We are seeking a full loan home for our much loved 13.2h, 17 year old New Forest gelding who we have owned since he was 5. Freckles has been ridden by all three of our boys and now that our youngest has outgrown him, we’re looking for a new home where he can continue to be enjoyed and kept active. Freckles is an incredibly versatile pony who loves to have a job. He is a superb and very careful little jumper, loves cross country and water, and has taken part in many pony club activities (rallies, Camps, Fun rides & some pony racing), but hunting is his forte! He is excellent to catch, clip, box, and shoe, and is sensible in traffic (although he doesn’t particularly like motorbikes) and has a lovely, cheeky personality! He has never bolted, is great in open spaces (ridden extensively across Salisbury Plain) and is easy to stop. He is also extremely responsive to voice commands. He is happy to be ridden alone or in company but can get excited when cantering behind others. He lives out 24/7 but as a native pony and a good doer (but not laminitic), he MUST be on restricted grazing. He is up to date with vaccinations, teeth and shoeing. He prefers company but has lived happily alone when needed. Freckles is forward going and can occasionally be a little nappy, so for that reason he is NOT a first pony, nor would he suit a novice or nervous rider. He is not strong and prefers a rider with light hands. He would suit a confident, capable teenager or small, lightweight adult who can offer calm reassurance and consistent riding. We are seeking a loving, knowledgeable and experienced long term full loan home, ideally reasonably local to Warminster but the right home is more important than distance, who will offer him a fun and varied life appropriate to his age….and most importantly a home where he will be treated as one of the family and loved! The decision to put him out on loan has been very difficult and very sad, but one that we know is right for Freckles. He’s a fabulous pony with great purpose and great presence but who is currently being wasted in the field. No novices please. Please contact me for more information. Plenty more photos and videos available on request.
Welsh Mountain Section A Yearling Gelding. This beautifully bred pony, with the most outstanding temperament is reluctantly for sale, due to change in my circumstances. “Hoot” will make the most wonderful child’s best friend, a future first class pony, a superb lead rein or first ridden pony; the next future superstar! He has had the very best start in life, easy to do in all ways and now ready for for his next chapter in life. Please contact me for all enquiries, please no time wasters.
