I purchased Monty from a driving home 6 months ago to fill the gap as my young horse had a holiday. He was unbroken to ride but proved to be very easy to break and took to everything quickly.

In this time Monty has done a variety of all-rounder activities including beach rides, arena XC and some jumping at home. He is established on the flat in walk and trot with a consistent contact and is responsive to canter but needs more time and strength to develop in this area. He would do a very sweet intro test already.

Monty has done a small amount of jumping, mainly working on basics so not to rush him. He has done gridwork, small courses of 70cm (including fillers) and arena XC. So far he has proved very brave with steps, water, ditches and solid fences. He’s not phased about other horses jumping/splashing through the water around him.

Hacking is probably Monty’s favourite ridden activity. He has done plenty of beach rides - enjoying a plod through the sea or a canter with friends. He has also been good to hack in open fields and on the road, having the occasional spook at something silly but generally a relaxed character. Hacks alone and in company. Goes first or last - doesn’t panic he’s being left behind etc.

Monty is easy on the ground, good to catch, lead, load, clip, shoe and with the vet. He is up to date with teeth, physio, vaccinations and can come with his professionally fitted GFS saddle. He is currently on individual turnout but has previously been turned out with others. Lives in or out and is generally an easy going chap.

His perfect home would be with someone who loves hacking or wants to do a bit more producing to get him to PC/RC standard. He will tolerate people pressing the wrong buttons but ideally needs someone competent and confident to keep his education on the right track. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to run two horses so Monty needs to find his next person. Open to viewings and vettings. Based in West Sussex, West Wittering.

‘Summer’ beautiful bay filly.

Our gorgeous calm, mare Ebony gave birth to a super big bay filly foal we’ve called Summer on 3rd May last year (2025). We did not know she was expecting, but have tracked down the father, and the culprit of her one night stand (!) back in Ireland before she came to us.

Ebony her mum is ID x cob and stands just under 16hh and the father is a traditional Irish cob and is a full up 15.2. Both are pictured.

Ebony has the most amazing temperament which she has passed on to her baby. She herself has been used in the riding school for a range of riders and previously hunted and did RC activities in Ireland.

Summer is now a gorgeous well grown yearling. She is well handled, with her feet trimmed regularly, she has worn rugs this winter and is ready for a family of her own now. She is so easy to do and has the kindest, most biddable personality. She lives out as part of a herd and is happy to be caught and brought in. She leads well and loves to be groomed.

We are looking for a kind and knowledgeable home for her.

ROY - the most fantastic little pony, if you’re looking for a pony that you can trust your child with on their own with him, he is your guy. You can leave him in the field for weeks even months get on him and he will be the same pony every time there is not one bad bone in his body. He’s never bucked/reared ever. He is definitely more woah than go, so we’ll need a little pilot willing to give him a pony club kick and go. Although he is only five years old, his age should not put you off because he is as safe as houses. He hunted last season with the Blackmore & Sparkford Vale & did an awayday with the south Dorset Hunt always with a child on his back. He has been in an arena and jumped coloured poles. He has also been round a cross-country course. he never gets whizzy, just a very laid-back chap. He has been with me since he was a foal to be a companion for my horse but when he grew into the pony he is now I realise he was too much of a waste to be a filled ornament. Complete genuine sale Home more important than price. He is just a pony that loves having a job and is so ready to be loved by a child or two or three. He has not done any pony club rally yet but I can assure you again and again he will do anything he has asked to do.

Just under 1tn payload with 1/3 tank of fuel, spare wheel and 2 passengers, has a weight certificate, MOT until March 2027 and was last serviced in February 2025. It has only done about 2000 miles since then, so it didn’t have it done this year
Horse/grooms area has 2 windows in the back and one in the roof and one small one to the cab area, 2 saddle racks and plenty of bridle hooks for hanging things, as well as a small area above the cab for storage. It also has a small mirror to make sure you look just right, fully sealed rubber matting, and a brand-new, refurbished ramp on the bottom on the inside to a high standard, with a metal floor covered in carpet so it will never rot. It is slightly heavier than a normal ramp for these van conversions but can still be done by one person. It also has a weave grill and shelf to stop the horses from jumping over. It has a brand-new gearbox and clutch from February 2024, a brand-new alternator from March 2026, and all the brakes have been renewed over the last couple of years. She has always been maintained to a high standard in the 8 years I have owned her. However, as she is an older lorry, she is starting to show her age cosmetically. The only other downside she has is the service/glow plug light is on on the dash. This has been thoroughly checked out by my mechanics, and it is for a glow plug that has sheared in half. This has been on for a few years now and has never caused me any issues. Always starts first time, It is very easy to drive and can be driven on a normal car licence, and it is economical on fuel. I have had many great memories in this box, and I’m only selling due to impending major surgery, which means I shall be out of action for up to a year. Still, there is lots of life left in her, and now is the time for her to make memories for another horsey person/family. She is a great little run-around but will also comfortably do those longer distances. Very sad sale of 15.2 Irish x mare, 11 years old, IDxcob type. Super sweet mare has been ridden by children, responsive to leg and hacks alone or in company.
