You would be 1 of only 4 people. All we ask is that you poopick regularly and you treat the place with the same respect you would if it were your own.

Full Livery available at Hern Gate Farm, North Gorley in The New Forest National Park. The yard is professional, yet family run and has been B.H.S. Approved for over 27 years, with the owners living on site. Our staff are all friendly, professional and helpful.

Facilities include floodlit arena with showjumps, trailer/lorry parking, WC, tea/coffee making facilities, alarmed tack room and an equine solarium. We include attendance for both vet and farrier. All stables are fully mucked out daily with two basic hard feeds and hay/haylage included. Your horse would be cared for 365 days a year by ourselves and our team.

we offer full grass livery, we have a grass track option with grass species specifically planted that are low in sugar and high in fibre , a classic meadow pasture option with higher protein grass species for those that need more weight gain and support as well as limited availability in our completely grass free track system for those who cannot tolerate any grass.
We have fabulous hacking as well as a round pen for ground work. Full cctv, automatic waters as well as water buffets during the summer, a hot water shower and a water mister on the track herds during hot weather. During winter the track is designed around our purpose built 30ft hardstanding loafing area, with a 100m surfaced track leading out to the fields, giving each horse the option to eat their hay out of muddy and wet areas and allowing hooves a chance to dry off.

Lonely, retired 22 yo. TB gelding seeks a new fieldmate after his friend passed away. Suitable for a quiet mare/gelding, preferably retired and barefoot.
Approx 7 acres of grazing in 5 paddocks. Both natural and man made shelter in each, with automatic water troughs.Unfortunately not suitable for those needing restricted grazing (piglets!) as grazing is fairly lush! Post & rail fencing so no cribbers please!
Poo picking is done on a rota system to be agreed with the existing livery (who has been here 6 years so far!)
12x10 rubber mat stable included, mostly only used for sickness, vet visits, or farrier etc.
Secure tack/feed room with coffee/tea facilities in stable block, also rug racks to each stable and a five arm rack on the wall. There is also a heated tack room, loo, shower and more storage internally off the garage.
Easy 1/2 mile hack up a quiet gravel track, to the open Forest, and Hightown Common.
Routine maintenance of grazing, fencing etc. is all done by the owner who lives on site, and is an experienced horse owner so keeps an eye open to make sure all is well, and no horse attempting anything crazy!
