The yard is professional, yet family run and has been B.H.S. Approved for over 27 years, with the owners living on site. Our staff are all friendly, professional and helpful.

Facilities include floodlit arena with showjumps, trailer/lorry parking, WC, tea/coffee making facilities, alarmed tack room and an equine solarium. Attendance for both vet and farrier also included. We are looking for an uncomplicated gelding, ridden or retired. Must be a ‘good doer’ and live out 24/7 all year round. Your boy will be living with a 16 year old gelding and 4 donkeys.

We can offer:
Well maintained paddocks with a large field shelter. Mains water.
We have eyes on during most days but in addition a close check will be made twice a day on your boy.
We will change rugs if required and as instructed. We will feed in the winter as directed with feed supplied by the owner. Summer months, grazing only unless the grass drops off and then we will feed hay (supplied by us but paid for by the owner).
You will have use of a tack room with storage space for all the usual tack and grooming gear. Also there is room for hard feed storage.
You will be welcome whenever you wish but primarily this is a vacancy for someone who needs help morning and evening giving them the assurance that their horse is looked after in between visits by experienced caring yard owners. Our previous livery has sadly passed away but he was with us for 12 years and was treated as one of ours.

Hacking is second to none with direct forest access to probably some of the best riding in Brockenhurst.

Cross Oaks Farm in East Wellow near Romsey has 2 large indoor stables coming available. We have all year turnout in paired or individual paddocks and can also offer the use of our fantastic surfaced turnout pen for horses on rehab/box rest/mud fever/laminitis.

We have an indoor school, tack room, tea area, toilet, solarium and floodlit concrete yard. There is good hacking down quiet country lanes and it’s a 25 minute ride to the new forest. There are clinics, riding clubs and small competitions at local yards within hacking distance.

Our assisted livery package is £445 per month and includes turn out and bring in every day, we do the field poo picking for you and hay and straw is included as well as late check and putting in feeds and extra hay nets. Possibility of lorry or trailer parking. The provision of a stable for emergency use (ie box rest) is also included, although this does incur an additional charge when actually used.

If required our staff can provide help and assistance in looking after the horses, either on a regular basis or holiday cover by separate negotiation when needed.
