I am a mature experienced horsewoman looking for a horse share in the Sway/New Forest area.


Having previously owned my own horses, I have many years of experience in all aspects of horse care, stable management and riding. I genuinely enjoy looking after horses and am just as happy grooming, mucking out and caring for them as I am riding.


I'm looking for a safe, sensible horse, ideally 15.2hh or bigger, to enjoy hacking around the Forest and some schooling. I am not interested in competing but do enjoy keeping a horse fit, happy and working correctly.


I currently help out with horses but would love to find a more one on one regular arrangement with the right horse and owner. Ideally available Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, although I can be flexible and help on other days when needed.

My name is Elvie Im 18 years old and living in lymington so would be great if the horse/pony was located in areas around brockenhurst which i could have access to new forest hacking as i love to hack (so a horse/pony thag is happy hacking not in company)!! I have loaned previous ponies and have been riding since i was 6 years old but has lost touch with it in the last year or so. So im a confident, experienced rider which can be put up with a challenge if needed. Im
more than happy to make payment contributions and yard dutys if needed. On the weekdays when it gets darker quicker coming home from work im more than happy to school them aswell.

Im around 5’6 so maybe nothing smaller than 13.3hh. i would be happy going up
3x times a week but no more than that due to my apprenticeship.

Hello, my name is Meg (26, 5ft 4, 59kg). I’m looking to volunteer a few times a week to help an owner out with their horse or pony.

I rode when I was younger and recently reconnected with my passion for riding after a holiday in Greece earlier this year. Animals have always brought me a sense of calm, and I’m really keen to dedicate my spare time to building a strong, trusted bond with a horse.

I can offer help with mucking out, grooming, feeding, general daily care and exercising / riding.

Because I work shifts, my available days vary week to week, so I’m looking for a flexible arrangement rather than set days. I’m based in Poole and very happy to travel within 30-40 minutes.

I’m offering my time on a completely voluntary basis, I'm simply looking to gain more hands-on experience, support an owner in need, and build a great connection with a horse.

We are looking for a second pony for my daughter, aged 7.

Her first pony is now enjoying a very well earned retirement at the grand age of 32! He has given her the most amazing start, including Pony Club rallies, two summer camps, lots of lessons and plenty of happy hacking with friends.

She is now really ready to start moving up a level and would love to begin doing more jumping, Pony Club activities and eventually some competitions. We’re looking for the right pony to help her make that next step safely and confidently.

We are ideally looking for a pony around 11.2hh - 13hh, although the right temperament and experience are far more important to us than height.

We are looking for a pony who is:

• Safe, sensible and genuine
• A real confidence giver
• Kind and well-mannered on the ground
• Happy to be groomed, tacked up and cared for by a child
• Enjoys jumping and is happy to take part in Pony Club rallies and activities
• Good to hack, including with friends
• Fun enough for her to progress on, while still being safe and dependable

We have our own stables and paddocks at home in Burley in the New Forest, so the pony would have a lovely home with us and become very much part of the family.

We are looking for a loan pony, ideally something with experience that knows its job and can help her continue to grow in confidence and ability.

I’m looking for a horse or pony to share or loan for one day a week, ideally around Southampton, Totton, Romsey or the New Forest.

I’m 55 kg and haven’t ridden for around two years, as I took a break from riding to focus on raising my child. I would now love to get back into riding and, most importantly, rebuild my confidence.

The horse’s height, breed or colour doesn’t matter to me. I’m simply looking for a safe, calm, kind, sensible and trustworthy horse.

I’m not interested in jumping. I’m looking for relaxed, peaceful rides, enjoying nature and spending quality time with a horse. ❤️

For me, caring for the horse is just as important as riding. I would love to groom, care for and spend time with the horse, treating them as if they were my own.

Mid 20s rider, looking for a full loan, after over 10 years of sharing at the same yard. If you have a horse who is keen for a more varied, fun life with a horse-loving young adult, with over 15 years experience, please do get in contact. Requirements include:

- Cob, Connemara or similar type
- Safe and sane out hacking and be used to busy roads with varied traffic e.g bikes, motorbikes, buses, trains

Hi my name is Jessica, I am 23 years old doing a nursing degree at Southampton Uni. I am looking for a part time share/ loan or exercise with chores a couple days a week (can be flexible), building a long-term genuine relationship. I have been riding since I was 5 and used to own 3 horses, including a beautiful cob, a welsh b and a young ex racer TB, so I have a lot of experience with different personalities! I took them to showjumping and cross-country events as well as relaxed hacking around the new forest. I have previously worked at a yard, turning out lots of different horses, doing a range of jobs from mucking out to exercising.

I kept my horses down the road from my house rather than livery so I cared for them completely myself (thankfully with the help of my mum), which unfortunately became too much for us at the time due to circumstances.

I am very reliable, committed and would really love to be able to get back into horse’s, I love every part of looking after them, not just the riding! I have got a lot of knowledge and am very confident with all horses, just a little rusty!

Hi! We are looking for a kind horse or pony to loan around 2 days a week.

Our group includes two young riders:

- Me (13): Confident at walk, trot, canter and gallop, with or without stirrups. I enjoy hacking, have jumped up to 1.15m, have previously had a loan pony, and work weekly at a riding yard where I help with horse care and yard duties
- My cousin (9): Confident at walk and trot with or without stirrups, is currently learning to canter and jump cross poles and loves spending time with horses.

My mum has riding experience and rides confidently at walk, trot and canter, so there will always be an adult involved.

We are looking for a horse above 14.3hh that we can just have a bit of fun on! We don't mind a horse with a little personality!

The riding days will be shared on a rota, so the horse will never be overworked. We are reliable, caring and will always put your horse's welfare first, treating them as if they were our own.

She has had a loan pony for several years but has unfortunately outgrown them. She works at a local stables at weekends and during half terms, so is used to yard duties and caring for horses.

I am 38 years old, weigh 52 kg, and am 165 cm tall. I live near Totton. I ride calmly and safely (walk, trot, and canter) and I don’t jump. I’m mainly interested in relaxed riding and spending time with the horse.

I previously part-loaned a horse, but sadly he passed away six months ago due to age and illness. I can provide references from the owner.

Ideally 14.2hh to 15.2hh kind older horse/pony wanted for gentle hacking with one other. Friends, freedom, forage and endless care and pampering offered. Would prefer a mare. Experienced home.

I am Connie, a 14-year-old girl who is looking for her first loan horse. I have been riding and helping out at a local riding school for 8 years now but it has been a dream of mine to someday own my own horse. I am 5”6 (168cm) and slim build, so a horse around 15hh would be perfect. A horse which is happy to do hacking on roads with or without company and to do low-level competitions would be best as I am still looking to become a better rider. We have fields and stabling at home so would be able to keep a horse at home with experienced parental support. We live in a small village in Wiltshire not near any big roads. We do not have any other horses so I would not be in a position to put a horse into a herd. I have had some experience riding horses which buck however if it was a constant problem which has become dangerous then it would not suitable. I’m not ready yet for anything too green or younger than 7. I still like to have fun while riding, for example jumping, and if a horse was too old I wouldn’t want to tire it, this means that a horse over 20 years old would become a bit of an issue.
