Description
Happy hacker or lead rein pony. Flo is a pleasure to have around a yard and is excellent on the ground. She excels at hacking and would be content as a lead rein pony. She hasn’t hunted but would make a great hunting pony although she would want to be up the front with friends so no novice riders for that. She has enjoyed beach rides / fun rides. She has worked in a trekking centre, and has been in a riding school. She has excelled for the stable management side and will stand and be groomed and fussed all day. She has worked with people with disabilities in that role. She however is school sour off the lead rein and as she is clever, she now has a bunch of tricks she can use to try and get out of work in a school. On lead rein she is much more compliant and so this is why we say lead rein only or hacking but even on lead rein school time should be monitored. She has a weight limit of 10 stone so can take a light weight adult rider. Good to clip (child can do, but she needs sedating for her feathers to be removed). Great for farrier and is bare foot. Lives in or out and can be in a mixed herd. Can be a monkey to catch if she thinks she is coming in to do some work and so often have to trick her with putting head collars on all, or tempting her with food. Up to date with all vaccinations and dentistry. Currently is living out in a field and so will need a little time to get back up to full fitness. Can be viewed in West Dean which is on the Wiltshire / Hampshire border. Please contact for more info. We have had Flo for over 3 years and know a lot of her history. Happy for her to move yards, but in Hampshire, Wiltshire or Dorset, at experienced homes only that will be vetted.Flo is a very much loved pony and she deserves a job and some fun. Rising 7 Welsh D mare. 14.1hhExceptional ground manners and very easy to do!Good to clip, farrier, loads, travels, stands quietly.Ideal M&M working hunter or as a lovely allrounder. She is low mileage and ready for a nice rider to bring on. We’ve taken her to training shows and unaffiliated dressage and she’s behaved impeccably. She is still a little green in her ridden education and just needs miles and experience. She has a good jump in her and has lots of scope. She’s fun to ride - nicely forward and light in the hand. She doesn’t need constant leg to keep going. She has been brought on with natural horsemanship so we’d love her to go to a home that knows the techniques.£5500 ono
The Ultimate Confidence Giver & Family Best FriendSmall but mighty, this seasoned hunter has spent the past 4 years with The Southdowns Bloodhounds. Admired but all who have ridden along side him. He has "been there, done it" in every discipline—showing, dressage, and jumping—but his heart lies with hunting & hacking. • The Ultimate Hack: Whether it’s heavy traffic, open spaces, or new environments.• A True Mother/Child Share: He is incredibly intuitive; he knows exactly who is on board and adjusts his sparkle to look after his rider.• The Perfect Guest: Easy to take anywhere. Beach rides, stay-away camps, and strange places are no issue—he steps off the trailer the same pony he is at home.• Impeccable Manners: Patient, respectful of others, and easy to do in all ways. This is a heartbreaking sale due to personal circumstances. £8500
Ola is a 13.3 Skewbald 7 year old Mare Cob Type.Only available due to lack of rider and this pony deserves more. She was bought by my daughter 20 months ago as an unbroken 5 year old. She had been in the same home previously since she was 7 months. She is an exceptionally willing little mare with a great attitude. Broken by my daughter - lunging nicely and happy to walk trot and canter. Hacked regularly and will jump a log. She will pop a x-pole but not had much exposure to coloured poles.Shown once in hand and not phased by anything. She is still green for her age but not silly or spooky. She has lovely paces but still has a leg on each corner! My daughter has been travelling since November and Ola has had the winter off. Having now extended her travels it is now time for Ola to find a new home with someone experienced who is able to continue her education. She is pleasantly forward going but relaxed in her work with a pleasing attitude to learning. Ultimately given some more experience she will make a lovely Pony Club Pony or mother daughter share. She is extremely easy to do in all ways and loves a fuss and a cuddle. She is great with farrier (unshod), dentist, to clip and to load. She is fully vaccinated. We adore this pony and it is a heartbreaking sale but we feel that it is only fair on Ola to find someone that will enable her to reach her full potential. She will only be sold if the right home is found.Plenty more photos and videos available on request.£3250 Tack Available
Richmond Grace FP6221 Sire: Severnvale Ivor FP71316C*, Dam: Llancloudy Jezebel FP3760Black mare Foaled 2016. Stands approx. 13hhGrace loves people. She is easy to box, bath, catch, farrier etc. Travels happily on her own.Competed in a few shows in hand, a couple under saddle and walk trot dressage see www.richmondfells.co.uk Grace enjoys hacking and will work in arena. She bred a foal (Sept 2023) who we are retaining. Her dam is by Goytvalley Magic Minstrel FP50026C* so has good bloodlines.https://youtu.be/KA4xWlX0yV0 is a video of Grace ridden at Dorset Show 2024 after just 3 weeks riding following weaning her foal.Due to lack of time and because I don’t have a regular rider for Grace, she’s had long gaps when not ridden or just ridden a couple of times a month. She’s still quite green and therefore I'll not let her go to a novice rider/owner as she obviously still needs direction to be schooled on. Grace enjoys being ridden and spent 10 weeks in the autumn being ridden by stable grooms and a gutsy boy, going for long hacks. Back home I have no regular rider, so am keeping her fit with some lunging. I’m having a break from breeding so it is time for her to find a home where she will be loved and used. £5000 ono but home more important than price.Lot’s of video’s of her being ridden if you are seriously interested.based Sussex/Surrey border.Contact richmondfells@gmail.com
For Sale Honey 14.2 Part Bred Arab MareIt is with a very heavy heart due to knee surgery complications that I have had to make the very difficult decision to put up for sale my 21 yr old part bred Arab mare Honey and find her a 5* home. She is a beautiful pony and is very affectionate and loving. She is good to clip, groom, load on a trailer, for the vet, dentist and the farrier. She is up to date with all her jabs. She has been turned away for winter so will need to be brought back into work. Previously in her riding life she has done endurance, pony club, hunting, cross country, dressage and fun rides. She currently lives out but has been stabled in the past so is very happy with either. She is not a novice ride and has her quirks. I am looking for an experienced, capable more mature rider that will join her in her golden years to do some happy hacking, fun rides or maybe even some dressage. She will come with a full wardrobe, all her rugs and all her tack. It is very important that she only goes with the right person for her forever home. There is an option for her to stay on her current yard if that is of interest.Price £1,500 ono depending on the home which will be vetted.
Jimmy is a 4yr old (rising 5 this year), 14h, black gelding cob. Jimmy came to us from Ireland in February last year and since being with us he has been very relaxed and willing and has taken everything in his stride. He adapts to new experiences well and aims to please. He has been out on sponsored rides, hound exercises and hunting this year and has been very safe and sensible during every outing, ridden in a snaffle. He has loaded and travelled well each time we have taken him out. He is a pleasure to handle, is good on the ground, good to lunge and long rein. He has worked in the school and competed in walk, trot dressage tests. Jimmy is still finding his balance in the school and is still green in his education, he is balanced in the walk and trot however needs to develop more strength to become more balanced and consistent in the canter work. He has jumped out hacking and hunting, and has jumped some fences in the arena, again is very willing but green and still at the beginning of his education. Jimmy currently lives out in a large mixed herd, he is good to clip, shoe, and travel. He is up to date with farrier, dentist, vaccines, and worming. This special boy deserves a loving home where he can continue to develop and grow. £10,000Videos available on request. Please contact Sofia for further information- 07468584953

Ebony is a 12:2, 7 year old cob xShe has three sweet paces, happy to pop round a course of fences and good to hack. She has previously been in a riding school, but most recently has been a family pony.Ebony would suit as a second pony, she can be a bit cheeky and put in a buck. This isn’t pain related, she has been fully checked out by the vets. She just can get a little excited. I think that with more regular consistent work this would resolve. She would suit a more competent little rider, looking to be an active pony club member
Beautiful 13hh 15 year old heavy cob gelding, Hershel. Hershel has spent 9 years in the same home in Wales taking the village kids on adventures through the valleys. He absolutely loves hacking and is a forward going but steady ride.Hershel has been successfully shown as a lead rein pony & first ridden. He is quiet enough for children to ride but equally fun enough for teens & small adults. He is quite wide so takes up the leg well. He hasn't been driven but really think he would take it all in his stride. Would also do well in ridden veterans. No ridden or non ridden vices, genuinely good to do in all ways. Hershel will lower his head right down so the children can tack him up & untack him. A real gentleman. Honest advert & genuine sale of a lovely little cob Priced for no nonsense sale - please no tyre kickers, we don't have time.£2750 ono
Mollie7 year-old14'2hhPiebald Cob MareMollie has spent the last 2 years on 'working livery' at the wonderful Kingston Maurward College where she is loved by all; staff and students.Mollie has impeccable ground manners, standing for hours being fussed over. She is also great to clip, load, and shoe.In the school, Mollie has 3 lovely paces. She takes care of her rider and tries her best. Recently, in work, she has started to jump and seems really keen. Out hacking, Mollie can sometimes still be green, but is better in company and absolutely fine with a confident rider. As an older owner/rider, I feel that Mollie would be better suited to a competent teenager/ young adult rather than my 'nervous' self! Someone who wants to have fun at the weekends, taking her out and about; to pony club, fun/beach rides and hunts.Mollie is welcome to stay at Kingston Maurward on 'Working livery' or move to a new setting. She's ready to do a whole lot more with the right person. £7000 Dorchester

Is picking up all feet. Will lead nicely in a head collar. Getting used to grooming. Very inquisitive and kind and super willing to learn and a very quick learner. This is a heartbreaking decision following ill health in my family and increasing needs on my time and I have decided what is best for Loki is a loving home where he will have someone’s full attention. Immybrook Burning Ambition or Polly for short is a 11.2hh rising 5 yr old Registered welsh section A mare. Originally brought for my daughter as a lead rein pony which she has been great for, my daughter has sadly lost interest in Polly who is now bored and looking for a new jockey to take her on. She has been picked up and put down so many times and is the same pony each time we do something with her, she’s not reared or bucked but does like to get on with her job so is forward. She will hack out alone or in company and has been out round the roads off the lead rein with small adult and was absolutely fine. She’s seen all farm machinery and livestock including lots of pigs. She’s hacked out on open forest and goes through water, jumps logs and ditches. Due to not having much done with her in the sense of regular work I would say she is still green so wouldn’t be a first pony just yet but certainly wouldn’t take much time to get her there. She’s good to catch, box, trim feet and clip. Lived with mares, geldings and foals.Lots of videos and photos on request of her being handled and ridden by my daughter. Polly is now ready to take on her next adventure whether that be showing, pc or even Driving.£1500 Ono
14.1HH 10yr Old Reg New Forest Roan MareSire Portmore Thunder Cloud Dam Crabbswood Zeminder Zara is a very sweet natured fun allround pony. She works sweetly in the school and enjoys her jumping. She loves her hacking however she’s done more in company than on her own - always snaffle mouthed She is 100% Shoe, Clip, Catch and Box and is happy to live in or out and is fine being left in the field on her own. Zara is a girl that takes her confidence from her rider, so is definitely suited to a confident adult or teen to go and have some great fun on. Very sad sale due to owners loss of grazing and giving up horses A truly special mare that deserves the very best of homes For sale on behalf of owner£4950 Ono
Prince 11 year old, 12.3, cob gelding. Prince is super easy to have on the yard, he will happily live out 365 days a year, very low maintenance and cheap to keep.He can be left for weeks and you can hoop straight on with no problems at all, currently being picked up and put down due to it being winter and work/school commitments so isn’t the fittest but he is more than happy with this routine. Currently has fronts on but very happy to go barefoot. Never had laminitis or any other health conditions. Up to date with jabs, teeth, worming, etc. Prince is a brilliant lead rein pony or 2nd ridden, he will happily trot round a course of cross poles/40cm with a little rider and then step up to cantering round a 50cm. He can and has jumped higher but this is where he is happiest. Prince has attended PC camp a few times, on and off the lead rein and was a star, jumps all XC and show jumps, will do a sweet dressage test, he has hunted a few times and loved it. Prince hacks alone and in company, great on the roads, fields/open spaces and loves the beach (he loves to swim!!) He is always in a snaffle for any rider in any discipline, he is a very forgiving pony who will give anything asked of him a go.He can be cheeky so that is why he is more suited to a lead rein rider or 2nd ridden pony Really sad sale of a very loved, outgrown pony. Prince has given his current rider lots of fun over the past few years but he is now ready to have fun with his next rider. £4,000Chichester, West SussexNo time wasters please, this is a hard enough sale as it is07541736229

She has been the best pony & is easy in every way.Rosa hacks out alone or in company, she has done beach rides, cross country, hunting, dressage & some local shows always being placed.
