Using & Viewing the NFED Event Calendar

Whether you’re organising or attending, here’s a quick guide to getting the most from the NFED Event Diary.

Who Can List Events
The NFED provides and funds free listings for:

  • Community events
  • BHS Affiliated Riding Clubs
  • Non‑profit organisations (Pony Club, BHS, BD, YFC, Hunts, etc.)
  • Events held primarily in aid of a registered charity, club funds or a good cause

Commercial events are welcome too — they just need a Standard Listing in the NFED Services Directory.

If you’d like to advertise your commercial events, you can add your services via the directory.
(Economy listings are available, but they don’t include event promotion.)

Viewing Options
You can browse events in whichever layout suits you:

  • Monthly view
  • Agenda view
  • Pinboard view

Switch views using the large buttons or the dropdown menu at the top right.

Searching for Events
Looking for something specific?
Just type a keyword — venue, instructor, event name — and press enter.
Tip: A single word like “jumping” usually gives the best results.
Remember to clear the search box to return to the full list.

Event Tags
Each event includes tags such as Dressage, Showjumping, Clinic, etc.
Clicking a tag will instantly show you similar events.

Sharing & Saving
Use the share buttons (top left) to send an event to friends, clients or club members.
You can also save events to your own diary with one click.

If a venue or instructor has a current directory listing, you’ll see a link straight to it.

To find multiple events from the same person/venue/club, either use the search box or the search URL.
For example, www.nfed.co.uk/calendar/search.php?ref=shedfield will list all events from Shedfield Equestrian.
www.nfed.co.uk/calendar/search.php?ref=roland will list all events from Roland Bellido & so on. Just change the last part to include the name, keep it simple & no spaces. The link can be copied to wherever you want to share the events or sent to friends, members, clients.
