Wimborne and District Riding Club is a family riding club, which has been running for around 25 years and is open to both adults & children, although we do ask that a Parent/guardian becomes a member on behalf of their child/children.

We are lucky enough to rent our own field at Higher Merley Farm, just outside Wimborne. The field is very level, well drained and maintained with good access. We also have the use of the large all-weather arena at the farm, which we use for many of our training clinics.

We run a variety of events, hopefully something for everybody... our largest is our Open Ridden & In-Hand Show show held at the end of July but during the year our events also include dressage, show jumping, in-hand & ridden shows, gymkhanas, regular jumping & flatwork clinics, a dog show and sponsored/social rides.

Over the years, WDRC has donated over £50,000 to charities and the committee is always open to suggestions for suitable (preferably local) beneficiaries.

Events are informal & fun; no-one should feel unwelcome, out of place or "not up to it". The club runs on a committee of volunteers, although help is always needed and very welcome!
