NFED Classified Help & Frequently Asked Questions

How to Post a Classified Advert

Posting an advert on the NFED is straightforward — but please read the Guidelines & Rules first.
If required information is missing or rules are not followed, the advert will be rejected without notice.

The NFED is browser‑based and works on any device — computer, tablet, smartphone, or even a smart TV. A fast internet connection will help with photo uploads. If using a mobile device, we recommend a strong 4G or Wi‑Fi connection.

There are no accounts or memberships to set up. Simply create your advert and pay (if required) by card, PayPal, or bank transfer.

Stage 1 - Create Your Advert.

Starting Your Advert

Click Submit New Advert, then scroll down and select Continue >> to begin Stage 1.

Complete the submission form carefully, ensuring all required fields are filled in.
Need help? Click the ? icons for pop‑up guidance.

Email or Phone Contact

Email enquiries are enabled by default, adding an Email Advertiser link to your advert.
If you prefer to show your phone number instead, you may disable email enquiries.

For your privacy and safety, your name and phone number remain hidden unless you choose to display them.

Choose the Most Suitable Category

Select the category that best fits your advert.
Administrators may reassign adverts to a more appropriate category without notice.

Create Your Advert Heading

Write a clear, attention‑grabbing heading (up to 75 characters).

Please avoid words such as buying, selling, available, wanted, or including a price in the title.
Facebook’s Community Standards prohibit animal adverts with these terms in headings.

Preparing Your Advert Text

It’s often easier to write your advert text in advance so you can check spelling and keep a backup.
When ready, copy and paste it into the form — or type directly into the box if you prefer.

  • Free ads must include an asking price.
  • Prices are recommended (but optional) on paid ads.
  • You may include links to online videos or photo albums.

Formatting notes:

  • Bold, italics, and other formatting will be ignored.
  • Use emojis sparingly and never replace words or prices with emojis.
  • Prices must be written in plain text — not emoji codes (unless you’re genuinely trading in carrots).

Set a Password

Choose a unique password and click Preview My Ad to move to Stage 2.

Your password protects your advert so you can edit or remove it later.
Do not reuse a password from any other account.

Stage 2 - Preview advert.

Review your advert carefully.

  • To make changes, click Go Back to return to Stage 1.
  • When you’re happy, click Post My Ad to save it and move to Stage 3.

Important:
The preview is temporary and stored only in your browser.
Your advert is not saved until you click Post My Ad.

Stage 3 - Photo & Payment.

Your advert is now saved in the database and has been assigned an advert number.
It will not be visible to the public until approved.

You will receive an automated email containing your advert number, password, and further details.
If you don’t receive it, check your spam/junk folder — enquiries will go there too.

Photos

You may upload up to four images (JPG, PNG, BMP, or GIF) at this stage, or return later via the control panel.

For best results:

  • Prepare photos in advance
  • Crop and resize them before uploading
  • Images larger than 960 × 960 px will be automatically resized

Confirming Photo Uploads

Click Check Advert & Photos or use the link in your details email to confirm your images uploaded correctly.

If photos are not visible, they did not reach the server.
Log in to upload them again, or send them to us via email or WhatsApp and we’ll upload them for you.

Photo Problems?

There is a dedicated Photo Help category — and we’re always happy to assist.

Free Ads

If your advert qualifies as free, you’re finished.

The payment button will still appear (all adverts use the same system), but you may ignore it.
If unsure whether your advert qualifies, use the payment calculator.

Paid Ads £8.99

If your advert requires payment, or you wish to feature a free advert, click Add Advert to Cart to purchase it through the shopping cart.

You can visit the payments section at any time, or use the link in your details email.

Going Live

Within 24 hours, the administrator will check your advert.
If everything is correct and any required payment has been received, your advert will be approved and go live.

Modifications

You can log in at any time — before or after approval — using your advert number and password to:

  • Edit your advert
  • Upload photos
  • Delete your advert

If you have any problems or need more information, please check your Advert Details Email and the Classifieds FAQs before contacting us.
