Description

Hi folks,
I'm a registered full bred New Forest Pony, and I'm looking for a new home.
My registered name is 'Snapper', but my owners call me Max. My breeding is Brookshill Royal, out of 'Sliver. I am 7yrs old.
I have been with my owners since I was 6 months old, who bought me from beaulieu road sales.
I am here on the projects pages as sadly I didn't grow big enough for my owners, which means I have done very little work. I am lightly broken to ride, I can walk and trot with a rider on me, and I work well on the lunge and long reining. I haven't done much jumping, but I've seen coloured poles and the odd log out on the forest.
I'm good with the farrier, I don't have shoes as my feet are good and currently I am just out in the field., I've only seen the nice vet for a visit to check my teeth.
I am happy to load in a trailer or lorry & I'm well behaved when I travel.
I'm good to catch too & once I get to know my new owners I will come to call.
I'm used to traffic, trains, donkeys, cattle and ponies on the forest as I spent my early months on the forest and I was turned out for a while a year ago to look after mums youngsters.
I have been ridden out on the forest & I'm not bothered by open spaces or tourists!
I'm happy to be worked every day, or I'm happy left for a while, sometimes even weeks without being worked, I always do my best & I'm the same to work no matter whether it's been a day or weeks.
I can be a little bossy towards other horses or ponies in the field, but I'm never bossy towards my human friend's.
I live out all year round & on just grass and hay.
Because mum says I'm 'Green, I'm looking for a home with a small competent adult who is able to further my education, I am pretty for a `boy- (according to mum!) And I have good paces, so I could potentially suit a showing home.
I haven't done any work for a while, so I'm being sold from the field, but I'm happy to let mum ride me to show what (little!) I can do!
Offers in the region of £800, no wardrobe available.

Description

14.2hh black cob for sale. Snaffle mouth, been regularly ridden for last 18 months, jumps coloured poles. Good to hack alone or in company, good in traffic, to load, for farrier, he is bare foot. Works in nice outline and has cracking paces. Doesn't need riding every day.
Now the not so good bits, 99% of time he is good to catch but can be a bit uncertain of new people, he lives out here.
He can be a bit fidgety and bolshy on the ground, hates his mane being pulled, not over keen on wormers, that sort of thing.
He seems to have a pollen allergy, this is why hes on project horses, he is not dangerous but if it's sunny he finds it hard to concentrate or keep a still rein contact. He could make a great hunter, or if this weather keeps up he may be fine this year!
Regularly wormed, vaccinated and had teeth done by dentist this year.
£600

Description

15.2/15.3 7 year old very handsome gelding. He has the wow factor in the bucket load & is a huge mover so would be a serious contender for ROR classes. Equally he would make a super all-rounder or eventer. He raced one but it wasn't for him and has just been a field for the past year before coming to me.
Please call for more information. Serious enquiries ONLY.

Honest advert

My name is Misty, and Iím a 14hh 8 year old registered Highland mare. I like to think Iím a very pretty pony, and I am a really sweet cheeky character. Now I am the queen of standing still. My quirk is that when someone is on me, I point blank donít move. I donít move forwards, I donít move backwards and I donít move sideways. Itís really quite an unusual talent, but I am so unflappable that I just donít move! If someone leads me then I will walk and trot beautifully, and I will walk, trot and canter on the lunge like a dream, but put a rider on me and leave me to it and I can guarantee weíre not going very far. I have been ridden previously, and I have been professionally started and ridden away. I was previously jumping courses and competing in dressage, however I have just lost my love for it. Because of this my owners are selling me as a broodmare or project pony. Apparently I have very nice breeding (by Glenmuir Buzzard our if Holmedown Katrina) and I just love the boys (Iím a bit of a tart) so a life as a broodmare would suit me quite well.

Iím a very good pony on the ground, nothing phases me. Iím very polite to lead (not a typical bolshy Highland) and I will stand for hours to be groomed and pampered. I have been shown inhand by my previous owner and my current owner up to county level and have done very well. Iím very good to bath, clip, shoe (currently barefoot) and load. I would stand all day and not bat an eyelid about people climbing all over me or bombs going off. I do have a small melanoma under my tail (not visible unless youíre looking for it) and my previous owner said I had a hay allergy. However I have been stabled on straw with hay for months with my current owner and never had any issues.

I am happy to live in or out and Iím very cheap to keep. I lived out all winter un-rugged and still ended up a bit porky! I would be a super asset to any stud or someone wanting a long term project to work with. Iíd even just enjoy being someoneís pet or a companion to another horse or pony. Iím based in Whiteparish, and Iím priced at £2300 Ono.

Description

****SOLD****

10 year old TB mare. 16.2hh Weatherbys Registered.
Project, Broodmare or companion.
Sire: Denounce. Grand sìre: Karinga Bày - both exceptional money winning racers
Totally honest advert.
I brought this mare earlier this year as a project but a change of circumstances means I can no longer commit to her.
She has been broken to ride prior to myself purchasing her, but it seems a saddle put on her back, lunged and ridden around a small village in a straight line suffices to being broken in. This mare doesnt know any aids! She is very trusting and genuine without a bad bone in her body. She has basically been brought in from a field that she was in for 8 1/2 years and then had the above done.
I was going to go back to square one with her - which is what she needs, time, patience and she will come along beautifully. I have ridden her out around our area, had a walk, small trot and few strides of canter, but in a menage she doesnt really know what is being asked of her under saddle. She lunges very well.
I did stable her when I first got her but she is now living out and had done 24/7 prior to getting her.
Shes had rugs on over the winter months, I have had her shod, currently has fronts on, I did have a full set put on her prior. With farrier she was ok, occasionally moved around but didnt do anything nasty - again a bit more time and patience will help with this.
When I brought her home she loaded first go and travelled like she had done it every day for years - I brought her from Birmingham so she had a long trek down in our ifor trailer, she didnt move or kick out or anything a true pro at travelling!!
Please do not expect to jump on this mare and take out on a full 2 hour hack, OR go in the school and expect her to do/understand aids that are being asked of her.
Hence why I am advertising her as a PROJECT, BROODMARE, COMPANION
If to be a project she needs to be totally restarted as if she was 3 years old
If I had the money and facilities I would keep her as a broodmare as she would make a fantastic mum.
Sold from the field as she is, with all above as stated
£400 ovno

Description

Forest bred, green passport, by Moortown Nobby.
Liver chestnut, 13HH, 15 years old, sound with no health issues. She has had a successful career in showing and WHP with previous owner and for the right person im sure she would still do very well in the ring, either ridden or in-hand. However, I am not that person. I bought her to ride but sadly from good beginnings she has proved too much for me and following a fall I have lost all confidence to get back on board. A friend of mine has been riding her since, however she now has other commitments and so she will be sold from the field.
She has previously bred two foals and would make a super broodmare.
She is currently living out in a mixed herd with no hard feed, and is always unshod. She is polite on the ground, and loads and travels very well.
Unfortunately, she is just not right for me and I cant afford to keep her as well as buying a more suitable pony for myself.
Up to date with vaccinations.
£475 but open to offers as I do want her to go to a good home.

Description

Comet is for sale due to no fault of his own, he is a 14.2hh 8 years old connemara gelding. I have had him from a yearling and he has grown up with natural and parelli methods. He's amazing online with all the parelli training and also does some tricks! I haven't bitted him as we backed him in his rope halter and has been so light I never felt the need to put a bit in his mouth. It wouldn't be a problem to change that if you wanted to though.
Traffic farm machinery livestock does not faze him although he does like to go up to things he's unsure of so pigs can be slightly worrying when he wants to be inquisitive!
Comet is such a confident clever pony he will go anywhere and do anything as long as your by his side. In the same breath he will take the mick if he knows he can get away with it hence the "project pony" catigory. Here comes the small print...
He's not the sort of pony to be ridden around in mindless circles in the school he will do it for a short while but he will get bored and has been known to throw a buck if he can get away with it this is mainly in canter. I find he is 100 times better to be ridden in the school after ive played online with him. If he knows your worried he will take the mick although he's never nasty with it and only 1 person has fallen off him once in all his life so he can't be that bad! He has only ever been known to buck once so it's easy to sit back up and tell him to get on with it as that's exactly what he needs. He won't continually buck to get you off its more of a tantrum. He doesn't bite, kick, never bolted and doesn't rear. Very light to ride no pulling or constant kicking needed he's very much a push button pony once he's sussed you out.
He enjoys doing pony club games hacking beach rides party tricks (I haven't really jumped him as I don't really jump!).
Comet needs a fun life he needs a job to do with a confident rider that will tell him to get on with it as he's a confident dominate pony. He's been turnt out with mares geldings alone (although he doesn't like being out of site of other horses) he has lived in but likes to be out he has a shelter which he loves at the moment so he's happy to be out 24/7.
No vices only for sale to a 5* home as he's been my baby for so long! I just don't have the time he needs due to children he's just being wasted!
There is so much about this pony I can't put it all down so thought I'd put the worst on this post, he's a real lovable character comes whinnying as soon as he hears the car, follows you around the field, he's even been known to pinch a fencers chainsaw and push down posts behind him while their working in the field. Very cheeky pony!
Trials to be done where he is, near a36 loans with view to by welcome but he will be staying put until sold.
Serious enquires only and no joy rider's. Home will be vetted.

14.1 8yr old Welsh D mare for companion and light hack . Easy to handle and very talkative! Super with other horses in the field and very submissive so an ideal companion. At present she is in at day out at night but will happily live out . She is very good to hack alone or in company , good in traffic . Doesnít buck , nap and is sniffle mouth . She is bold but as all horses can , she can do an odd spook but if your leg goes on she will go past it ,she wonít run in the opposite direction). she can just struggle with the schooling behind and rather than pushing her I feel she will have a longer and happy life is she has a less athletic one . With a heavy heart we are looking for a new home for this beautiful guy.
(Franko 12 YH) £750 ONO
15HĒ2
Iíve not jumped him. Better in the school. Has dressage sheets from background.

Frank needs one on one care, routine and an investment towards raining for some naughty habits and anxious behaviour. And unfortunately I canít give him all of the above.

He loves being in the field and is very calm here along side companions and other friendly Geldings.
He is rideable, and has done dressage in the past he has SO much to give and I know with the right person and right environment I know he will be amazing.

He is currently in a riding school environment and with regret this does not suit his needs.
A field/paddock (preferably not next to mares) as he can get a little carried away and distracted.

Sold from field
NO NOVICE RIDERS PLEASE.
Thanks in advanced.

Description

13hh 10year Old Chunky Chestnut Dartmoor Gelding.
Flash is one of the sweetest most affectionate ponies we have ever had on the yard. He came from a riding stable and so settled into our herd really quickly and is happy to be out with geldings, mares and isnít fazed by the neighbouring pigs.

He is young and a bit green but that does not stop him from trying really hard to please and do the right thing. Flash has proven to be amazing in the school, with some more flat schooling he could become really showy.

Out hacking and in the school Flash is very bold, willing and scopey over any obstacle. And will cross ditches, logs and rough terrain with ease. Flash currently hacks out around 3 times a week across the New Forest and attends a flat schooling lesson with a 8 year old girl once a week. We have lead smaller ponies off him, ridden bareback and boxed him regularly.

We bought him as a hunting pony for a 10 year old the times he went out he was...amazing. Completely unfussed by hounds, super relaxed in the field and taking in all in his stride. Unfortunately, he could bit nappy if any of the other ponies moved away from him. The child just isnít an experienced enough rider to deal with the fidgety pony.

Flash is shod only on the front. Snaffle mouthed, easy to clip, calm round children and dogs, up to date with teeth and jab. Pink passported. He is totally genuine and kind.

It will be a really sad sale as he is such a character and loved by everyone. We are completely over horsed and the children are away at boarding school. I honestly think Flash will go far in a competitive family with his scopey jump and wiliness to please.

Description

Approx. 16hh, 13yr old, bright bay - Fleetwater and Peveril Peterborough lines.
Project horse for a confident and experienced rider.

Rocky has not been ridden for approximately 12 months due to me starting fulltime at university, plus juggling work and a young family.
I have therefore made the difficult decision to sell him as a project. He has so much potential and seeing him wasted in the field is heartbreaking.

A very spirited horse, who aims to please and learns quickly. We have done a little bit of most things; showing, dressage (placed 2nd and 1st on his first outing), show jumping and cross-country schooling. Lots of flatwork lessons and for the last few years, plenty of hacking around the New Forest. He will need a patient, confident handler/rider who has time and understands the importance of bringing him back into work slowly. Having been unridden for several months, his fitness will need to be built up gradually and not rushed. He is a clever little horse, with potential to go in any direction.

Always ridden in a snaffle, however can be sharp and excitable (two feisty breeds!) and can get anxious and keen on the way home on a hack. He is used to mostly hacking alone but will behave in company with another sensible horse Ė he prefers to go at the front. He is absolutely NOT for a novice or nervous rider.

Lives in/out, good with farrier and dentist, clipped without sedation and twitch required only for head area. Has not loaded for a few years but used to travel regularly in a lorry and/or trailer without issues. Basically, if you are patient with him, he will allow you to do most things. If he feels rushed or forced he will object!
He is full of character and will charm everyone.

Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming and currently shod in front.
Looking for a quick sale, SOLD FROM THE FIELD £2,500 ono - Home more important than price.
Viewings welcome.

Very sad sale. Absolutely no time wasters.

Please email me in the first instance for more information.
