Description:

Clinics, Evening talks, Freelance riding coaching, Facility hire, Overnight and holiday stabling in the New Forest

Are you having enough fun with your horse? Would you like to improve your confidence? Whether you want to start out with a young horse, solve a specific problem, enjoy your hacking, take part in a pleasure ride or improve your performance at grassroots level, Amanda at Tilefield Equestrian is here to help you.

Amanda believes that working successfully with horses is like a 3D puzzle where many types of information and a wide range of skills need to be drawn together. These include skills such as improving your riding and coordination, understanding how horses learn and behave and learning how to improve your confidence. Amanda also offers the opportunity to learn about a wide range of subjects relating to welfare such as understanding anatomy and biomechanics, bodywork and nutrition through evening talks or clinics.

Amanda can offer the following services:

  • BHS Accredited Professional Coach, UKCCL2, participant on the National Development Programme for Coaching Excellence and a fully accredited equestrian coach for the Pony Club. I am happy to coach all aspects of riding, dressage and basic jumping for all ages and have been teaching clinics in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark for over a decade.

  • UKCC Equine Endurance Coach. I specialise in all aspects of preparing a horse for hacking confidently whether you want to enjoy a quiet ride out or to take part in a Pleasure Ride, Endurance or TREC competition.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Behaviour and instructor for US horsemanship trainer, Mark Rashid. I can support riders who are interested in natural horsemanship and foundation training for young horses.

  • Qualified human coach: I enjoy working with riders who wish to build their confidence or overcome fears such as anxiety about riding in general, hacking, jumping or competition nerves.

  • Qualified Equine Sports Massage Therapist with experience with rehabilitation and bringing horses back into work after injury.

  • Also experienced with gaited horses, groundwork preparation for carriage driving and western riding.

Please get in touch and I am happy to provide references. Amanda Barton, PhD., MSc., PgDip.

I can offer clinics and coaching at my facilities in Brockenhurst.

My outdoor arena, stables and training facilities are also available for private hire, please contact me to for details.
