Description

Super sad sale of our 12h 9yo SHP x dartmoor (Sire Littledale Bright Star). We've owned her 3 years and only one previous owner - history known. She has taught my children to ride from ages 1 and 4 but really needs to go as a second pony or a competitive lead rein / first ridden for a confident rider - she really needs a job to do and is utterly wasted with us. She is responsive to the leg and likes to go - my son needs something a bit more dopey! Our instructor (RIHS, HOYS competitor etc) believes she has the ability to go to the top in the showing world. Qualified Sunshine Tour last year in the only qualifying show we went to and we really didn't know what we were doing! Done two PC camps (one junior, one mini) and various rallies on lead rein.
Super mover - does a cracking dressage test. Professionally schooled with an incredible trot, now working on balancing the canter.
Brilliant in traffic - recently used to lead a young horse out. Unphased by objects - didn't bat an eye at the horse agility obstacles we had a go at over the winter. Hunted with her previous owner and mum was a hunting machine.
Huge jump in her - which we haven't used at all! I believe she was pulled out of a chase-me-charlie as a 4yo as they didn't want to push her at 1m15! Previous owners competed in the mini-major at Olympia with her sister I believe.
NO NOVICE HANDLERS PLEASE - she can be excitable.
Low mileage. Will be sold with her bit which was professionally fitted by Hilary Vernon. Saddle available by separate negotiation. Up to date with vaccs, back, feet (barefoot), teeth. No laminits or sweet itch. Lives on fresh air in or out, alone or with company - although company preferred as she is a cuddly thing.
Ws first ever first ridden this Feb aged 6, came 2nd despite being the only child not to canter in his show:
