Wanted 16hh Irish draught type/weight carrier. Established in walk, trot and canter, happy to go out hacking first or last, responsive but not flighty. Able to cope with less confident, nervous and unbalanced riders as well as the better riders. Wonderful home waiting to live as part of a herd and have the comfort of a stable or shelter when needed. A horse who likes attention and likes being groomed, having his or her mane and tail plaited would be ideal. We are seeking that gentle giant, who picks his or her feet up easily when asked. A horse who is not a tank or going to barge is a must. He or she will also have capable riders so he or she will be able to enjoy a good canter and maybe a gallop occasionally and may be asked to jump however jumping is not a priority! He or she will also be required to work on the lead-rein walking in and out of obstacles in the field and will be hugged, cuddled and made a fuss of a lot. We are a specialist outfit and require that very special horse. We have a decent budget for the right horse. Aged somewhere between 8 years and 18 years would be good. No lameness issues please, no nappy horses, or those who like to throw an occasional buck. This is a very special home and indeed we need a very special horse to join our team.
