Description
"Odin" is a 4yo coloured chaps registered cob x freisian and is show quality. 14.2h. Very low mileage so needs knowledgable home to bring him on. He is homebred by us but because of family ill health we are having to part with him so a forever home is important. He has seen hounds and was very well behaved. Done lots of road work, and has been brought up on a very busy working farm and is a 100percent bombproof to that. He can be a bit cheeky at times so needs firm handeling. Has never bitten or kicked. Rugs included. No vices, good with farrier, vet, loads and travels well. Priced to sell at £1100 but very negotiable to the right home.

Description
Willow is a 15hh, 19 year old mare. She has never been ridden due to fracturing her pedal bone at 5 years old. She has been with me since she was 2 years old. She is a great companion mare as she is so easy. She is great with fencing, easy to handle, likes people. She has never had laminitis or any illness (other than the accident when she broke her pedal bone). She is not shod, lives out. She needs rugging in the winter. She has a lovely calming influence and isn't a dominent mare. She has had two foals and lived in a mixed age/sex herd for years and was very happy.

She is a delightful mare that is looking for a new two legs to love and care for her.

Only looking for a home due to losing our grazing. :(

Description
Handsome, kind boy who we have had since last October. Very good to hack alone or in company and excellent in traffic. Hunted in Ireland and recently schooled cross country - didn't put a foot wrong. Ridden in snaffle. Fantastic in hand, quiet and gentle. Never known to buck, rear, bite or kick. Loads easily with no fuss and travels quietly. Stands quietly for farrier (hot or cold shod). Clipped last winter and while a little unsure to start, completed over a couple of sessions to build his confidence with minimum fuss.

For sale as a project due to currently having no rider and still green with schooling. He can pull in canter when he feels unbalanced so needs a competent, kind rider to work on balancing his paces and developing his outline. He has just had a few weeks being schooled with an Intelligent Horsemanship trainer as he hadn't been ridden for a few months. Very happy hacking out on his own and enjoys a canter but has good brakes. Schooling videos taken 28/8/17.

Teeth checked in February and back checked last week. Up to date with vaccinations and to my knowledge has not had any health issues.

He currently lives out 24/7 with a couple of geldings and is not aggressive or dominant in any way.

We really want a loving, kind home for our boy as he's a real sweetie and I believe that with a competent rider to spend some time bringing him on he will be an absolute star. He really has bags of potential and he does love to jump.

Please call for a chat. £2,250 ono

Ziggy Stardust

Reluctantly putting my stunning leopard appaloosa gelding up for sale. Ziggy is 4 years old and approx 15hh.

I have owned him since a yearling, but due to pregnancy/baby and another young horse I do not have enough time to spend with him.

Ziggy is unbacked and unbroken and needs a experienced handler to further his education. He can be easily caught, groomed, has had hooves regularly trimmed. He currently gets checked twice daily and feed, but has had little handling this year. He is a friendly chap, but needs a confident owner who will give him one to one attention. Ziggy is not a beginners horse.

Happily lives out all year round with field shelter (never rugged). Grazes alongside sheep and donkeys.

Due to shift work and caring for a young child please email me for more information/photos and I can call you back to arrange a viewing.

Description
8 years’ old

Well-mannered and sweet natured horse, just lacks confidence being ridden through the limited ridden work he has done. Eager to please gelding that has a heart of gold however, I lack the time and confidence to continue his education.

Been brought on slowly as it’s taken a while for him to mature mentally. He has recently been professionally schooled, and is currently doing groundwork & being led out on forest from another horse.

He is the type of horse that needs to be lunged before ridden, as he can be fresh. Known to buck initially especially if fresh and unsure on a situation. Can be nervous when unsure but needs confident rider to guide him through.

Will make a cracking horse for someone who has time to further him on. He is good to catch, farrier, roadwork, load and lives out all year.

Sold as a project and as seen from field.

Not for a novice, please experienced homes only.

15.2hh Dun Connemara X TB Gelding 7yrs

Potential Event/Riding club horse

Being sold as a project to an experienced home due to unforeseen work commitments, I am unable to give this lovely little horse the time he deserves.
I have taken it slowly with him, giving him the time to learn correctly and iron out a few issues he arrived with. He is proving to be very willing and quick to learn, he now loads and travels welll in a trailer and is good with the farrier (Hot shod).
He will happily turn out with mares, geldings or on his own but also enjoys the comforts of a stable.
He is very good to long rein and lunge and has been over poles on the ground with confidence.

He has just return from being professionally restarted, where he was hacking out confidently on his own, seeing traffic and busy village life and being ridden in open fields.
He would need his eduction to continue as he has occasionally shown a bit of tightness due to being unsure but was becoming less frequent and was easy to ride on forward.
I am unable to do this so will be sold from the field.

He has 3 lovely balanced paces and no lumps/bumps/vices
A lovely home sort for this great little man

Description
Harley is a lovely horse with bags of talent and really requires a competitive home as he likes to be kept busy. He has just completed a year at Sparsholt College and was an Academy horse for both Dressage and Showjumping, so he definitely has a lot of talent.

Unfortunately, he does not cope well with the large herd turn out at the college so I have decided to find another home for him. As an ex-racehorse he has a few minor issues- he has been seen to crib bite if he is stabled to long and gets a bit bored - I have managed this well with a Gut Balancer supplement so he rarely does it now.

Home much more important than price - so please contact me if you are interested. He is due to leave the college 19 August so I am keen to find him a lovely forever home.

Description
**Experienced Home needed will buck with someone inexperienced or nervous**
Slightly pigeon toed.
Still available through no fault of his own, he has now been ridden a number of times after the winter off, really hasn't put a foot wrong, hacked out on his own from a location he has never hacked in before, has been ridden gently in a school in walk and trot again without incident. He will easily be brought back into full work.

10 year old gelding, still green but bags of potential.
Available due to loss of sharer and change in working hours.

Fred is lovely to handle from the ground, my 8 year old leads him and my very nervous 12 year old rode him walk and trot in the school last winter, hes good out hacking hacks alone or in company goes first or last and never known to get fizzy.
Will stop and look or pop the odd shy in but nothing you wouldn't expect from a youngster.
I believe he's had a nasty experience in the school as when he's 1st brought back into work or had any longer than a week off he will put a buck or leap in. I've never fallen off him because of it but due to this I would want him to go to an experienced home so sorry no novices.
Having said that I do beleive with consistency and regular schooling her will soon get over it as when he was school daily last year it stopped after a week and could be a fantastic mother/daughter share.

Hector is a 13hh New Forest type pony. He is rising 6 and has just been professionally backed. He is good with the farrier and shows no vices. Hector loves to be groomed and get attention. He is a bit of a foodie but shows great potential for the show ring. I am looking for a kind home with other horses. the rider must have experience with young horses as although there have been no issues through his backing he needs a knowledgable and affectionate home who can support him if he gets nervous. Long term loan with a view to sale to the right home. I can assure any takers that they will fall for this affectionate little pony.

Long term loan with a possible view to sale. Ajax is a 13.1 new forest type pony rising 6 years, just backed and ready to move on. He would suit a small adult or confident competent teen. Ajax is a completely blank canvas who has been professionally backed and shows no vices and could go far with a sound start. He is good with the farrier and seems curious rather than fearful when presented with new experiences. His new home should be experienced and knowledgable and offer him other equine companions.

Description
Hi! My name is Beejay. I’m a 26 year old 16’2” thoroughbred x New Forest schoolmaster. I have had a fantastic competition career which ended a few years ago. Since then, I have been pottering about in the Hampshire countryside and keeping my hoof in in the arena.
Last year, I started tripping up when out on hacks so I have had to stop doing those, which is such a shame because I love them. However, I still love my work and enjoy the opportunity to show off in the school. The only problem is that no one has enough time to ride me at the moment. As a result, recently, there have been some times when I have been stiff or lame, but I am pretty sure that I will be okay if I can stay in light work.
Currently, I live in a yard in Shedfield with my mate Frankie. However, my mum is struggling to look after us both and could do with some help.
Ideally, I am looking for a new home where I can spend my retirement. I love going out in the field but would be very happy to have a nice warm stable to sleep in during the winter. I am good with other horses and would make a friendly companion or part of a herd. I am not sure how much ridden work I can still do but would love the opportunity to give it a go. I have just had my shoes taken off so I need to start gently.
If you were able to take me on long term loan you could simply take on my costs but I would need to stay nearby my current yard in Hampshire where my mum and friends can visit me. I am adorably mischievous and my favourite things are back scratches, pulling funny faces and treats!
If you might have a home for me, please email my friend Emma-Christine (E-C) on eece@cantab.net.

16.2hh Tb, 13yrs, Light Bay, Ex-racehorse, £1500

Bear is an absolute gent and would make a fantastic all rounder, hunter or RoR competition horse for a fairly confident rider. He hacks beautifully alone and in company. He would suit both female and male riders. Great with traffic, farrier, loading, etc.

Since retiring from racing he has hunted, had some cross-country schooling and been to a couple of show jumping lessons and competitions. He is still quite green to these things but very responsive, learns fast and enjoys doing it. He can get a little excited when we go into a field and may do a happy buck. Just one.

Having raced, he will not be suitable for a dressage only home.

He must go to a 5 star home. A very sad sale, but I no longer have time for him due to a change of family circumstances. This is a project for someone as he is currently in a field doing nothing and needs bringing on again.

Description
She is about 13.3/14hh 9 years old chunky Chestnut Roan - New Forest/Appaloosa X. She is a sensitive soul and is not good in traffic (especially large and fast traffic) so she ideally needs to go somewhere where where road work is minimal. I have had her since she was 6 months old so this is a really hard decision for me. She has not done much in the last 2/3 years as I had a freak accident on her (if you are interested in her I can fill you in as to what happened) As I am an older rider I feel she is just too sharp for me to take the risk of riding her out on the road again.

I have been riding her in the field over the last few weeks and have also been lunging her and considering she had not been ridden properly for a considerable length of time she was very well behaved. When I was riding her she was always a fun forward going ride and thoroughly enjoyed herself as soon as she was off the road away from traffic. I nearly always had to ride out on my own so she never had the confidence from another horse - I therefore feel she would benefit from having a nanny horse to give her some confidence on the road.

I was hoping that she would take over from my old boy when I retired him but alas this is not to be. She is a bit grumpy sometimes and pretends to bite or wave a leg at you when brushing her - she treats it as a bit of game - but I just have to give her one of my looks and a stern “dont even think about it” and she looks as if butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth.

I am sure that would do really well with a confident teenager who can give her plenty of exercise and give her something to think about. She has jumped in the past with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it — She is barefoot at the moment but she has had fronts on in the past. She is up to date with teeth and vaccinations - She did develop slight sweet itch last year - but this year I have had a rug on her early and sprayed her daily with neem oil mix and touch wood she is fine so far. She is too much fun to be stuck in a field with nothing to do so if you think you could offer her a loving home please contact me. She is passported and microchipped. She is a very good doer so needs to have restricted grazing.

£500 ono She will come with her sweet itch rug - other tack negotiable

13.2h Welsh Part-Bred Dun Pony

'Nutbourne Funny Girl'

Currently being wasted in the field. Been out of regular work for around 6m. She was my daughters first pony, (sadly now outgrown) although she's definitely more suited as a 2nd/3rd pony. Hacks alone or in company, and has a fantastic jump. She's much happier when she's in regular work. She loads fine, is barefoot and can ride bitless or with a bit. She turns heads wherever we go.

I feel she would excel in a showing or competitive home, or would be an excellent addition to a breeding programme.

With time and trust, she has so much to give.

£800 Ono. Home is much more important than price. With this in mind we would consider LWVTB.

For SALE. No Loans. No Loans with a view to buy. No time waters.

Beautifully put together and extremely well bred, elegant 4yr old, Chestnut, Thoroughbred, 16hh, mare for SALE. Sire - Shirocco (GER), Dam - Canouan (IRE) by Sadler's Wells (USA)

Vaccinated, passported, microchipped, regularly wormed, wolf teeth removed and teeth rasped, regular with the farrier. She has no vices stable or otherwise, lives in or out with mares and geldings and is generally towards the bottom of the pecking order. She is a very friendly mare, a delight to handle and is good to catch, clip, box and trim.

She was backed last year and turned away for the winter. We had just started bringing her back into work two months ago when she threw a hind splint in the field. It has been checked by a vet and appears to be healing well to the point that she is nearly sound again (see video). However she is now so far behind our other youngsters training wise, we are looking to sell her as a Project or Brood mare as she will need a bit more time for the splint to settle completely. She is a maiden mare but is very regularly in season and loves the attention of the boys. We are totally gutted as she is a truly lovely horse with exceptional movement in all paces.

Good home sought. £2750. ono Tel 07725594963
